Release EDDiscovery 18.X is now out! New modules panel upgrade and Engineering

Let's get this clear. I don't appreciate people having a go considering its completely free program which cost be me thousands of hours of work, and it costs other collaborators the same.

If people want it better please contribute with code
Considering? What does that mean?

People are trying to help, make suggestions. They do that because they are actively using the program and are telling about their experiences using it, and reporting problems and making improvement suggestions. People wouldn't do that if they didn't like the program. Why do you choose to interpret that in a negative way?

I read the comment about the "amiga icons" and I didn't think it was positively phrased. These very helpful 3rd party tools take a lot of personal time and effort (and sometimes money) to develop and I can understand Robby's reaction. Nobody likes being unappreciated.

We already lost one major 3rd party app

Let's not try to lose any more...

I appreciate all that they do and support them for their contributions to making ED more enjoyable.

Don't worry I'm not going anywhere.
I for one thank you, and all the collaborators, for this tool - it's absolutely invaluable. I'm sure many others stand with me. I came here to report a paint job but felt that needed to be said first.

The text says to let you know.. is this acceptable to put here? Apologies if this isn't the correct way to report it. "*** Unknown Module { "paintjob_asp_prestige_purple", new ShipModule(-1,ShipModule.ModuleTypes.VanityType,"Paint Job Asp Prestige Purple") }"

Yes indeed, it's an absolutely bloody awesome tool - hugely appreciated!
I don't use all of its capabilities (probably not even 25%) but I don't even want to imagine trying to play ED without it.

This discussion reminds me that I've been meaning (for literally years) to ask if there's a way to make the UI do certain specific things differently - e.g. one minor annoyance is about whether it's possible to dismiss some dialogs with the Escape key instead of having to mouse to the X in the corner. If I didn't dislike Discord so much, I'd already have asked it there ;)

Some of them respond to escape, it depends if its got a text input box. Which ones don't ? (there are a lot to check.)
I'll make some notes next time I'm using it (am on bit of a... "break" from the game) but from memory the one I hit most often was what might be called the event selection dialog - the thingy that lets you filter which stuff you see in the History window.
