EDDiscovery and DW2 Auto Download of Bookmarks added via Pack

Hi,

I've made an (experimental) add-on pack for DW2 which will keep your bookmarks updated as the way points are announced.

Use the add-on manager to install it. It should add the first few waypoint including some planet marks.

It will work with 10.3, but with some wrinkles. You may need to restart EDD to get the bookmark form to update the list.

Release 10.4, which addressed ED 3.3.2 is out, and works better with this pack.

Updated for WP 3.

I've updated it today, and by tomorrow it will autoupdate. It checks once a day.

If you update the pack, it will download immediately.. i've turned the once a day thing off.

It seems to be downloading the new list to my computer, but the bookmarks don't show up in game in the galaxy map. Is there something I'm supposed to do to push them into the game?

Unfort Frontier does not allow third party add-ons to push bookmarks to ED. The bookmarks are for ED only and for its compass.

But the first set of waypoints DID get added into my galaxy map when I first installed the add-on. What do you mean by ED and its compass? Edison?

Its a panel in EDD - the compass panel, it can guide you waypoint on the planet surface. This is what the pack is for - keeping bookmarks updated in EDD and using it with the compass or using it for guidance.

What is Edison? Never heard of it ;-)

So weird. How did the waypoint 2 bookmarks get in my galaxy map in game? Pretty sure it happened when I enabled the add on.

Are you a member of a DW2 squadron?
After I join a DW2 squadron, I noticed a bunch of new waypoints in my Galaxy Map, all marked with a squadron icon., they appear to be undeletable too.

I only have up to WP2, I updated Eddiscovery, made sure the add-on was up to date. just wondered if you had any suggestions?

So the issue was that currently, this add-on uses the download star map as a reference to create the bookmarks. So you must have at least the map data around the expedition downloaded for it to work correctly. Thank you, Robbyn, and Eddiscovery for all you do!

I have this error in the log of ED Discovery:

I have version 10.4.4.0 of EDDiscovery.

Can someone help me ?

He is in Fleetcomm Squadron, if anyone is in that squadron, go to bookmarks in the galaxy map and scroll to the bottom (if you have your own bookmarks) and the Sqn ones are listed there. they will dissapear after each WP and are only current for that WP week.
