Discussion EDRefCard v1.4+ - new hosting, new maintainers (the follow-on to "EDRefCard - makes a printable reference card of your controller bindings")

Just sharing some info if you find it useful, not in any dire need.

Reference: "oovjep"

I'm using a VKB Gunfighter Mk4 Modern Combat Edition Ultimate and VKB STECS Space Throttle System Max.
Thanks, this is very useful! Your file contains device IDs 231D0125 and 231D0139, which appear to correspond to your Gunfighter and STECS Space Max respectively.

Our existing STECS template uses a different device layout, so I won’t simply add these IDs without checking the button and axis numbering.

If convenient, could you share a screenshot from VKBDevCfg showing each device’s name and ID, and mention whether you’ve customised its button mapping?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'd love it if you guys could add support for the VKB STECS Space Throttle System (as well as the STEM and ATEM addons). It's like most other throttle controllers, but the grip can be twisted and tilted to give you vertical/lateral thrusters like the left stick in a HOSAS setup (instead of using a rinky-dinky joystick mounted to the back like other throttles). I don't own one myself, so I don't know what files or info might be necessary to add it to EDRefCard, but it's a very popular controller and I can see lots of button layouts that use it on the site already. It just reports that the controller data is missing, so it doesn't actually show any of the STECS STS inputs or controls. They do have input template .pdfs on the store page if that helps somehow.
Thanks, these are genuinely useful! The PDFs contain editable fields, so we should be able to reuse their artwork and field positions rather than redraw everything.

They don’t include the actual button numbers, so we’ll still need owners to confirm the correspondence with Elite’s inputs. We now have volunteers with a Space Mini Left-Hand and a Space Max, which should help us validate the different configurations.

Pretty sensible controls.

Here are mine, in Version .9 (I still have to adjust a few things).
Thanks for sharing this! Did you create the card manually, or was it generated by EDRefCard or another tool?

We’re working on SOL-R support, and your numbered layout could be very helpful. If you created it yourself, would you be willing to share the editable source, ideally with a blank version, and allow us to adapt it for EDRefCard while retaining your credit?

Your .binds file would also help us confirm the left/right device IDs and check the button numbering.

Greetings. After years of Warthog stick, throttle and TRudders, I finally updated to the Winctrl Orion Rudder pedals and am very pleased with the new pedal device. I went to edref card for my new layout and submitted my new Custom.4.2/binds. There were a few surprises in the output.

The first was the pedals are not yet supported, I DM'd LobreArbite to volunteer to rectify this.

The second was that the ref card states I am using the TARGET thrustmaster software. I am not! How do I edit my bindings to let edref know that I abandoned that software years and 3 machines ago?

I got the card from a Star Citizen Redditor. See this link: Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1kd2f6k/share_my_editable_hosas_bind_sheet_for/

I'll send the binds file later, as I'm on my non-gaming laptop rn.

Hi everyone, and apologies for the slow replies. I'm back working on EDRefCard2 and have reviewed the recent controller requests and the files you shared.

The editor already has quite a few features, but I want to be honest: adding a controller is not yet as straightforward as I initially hoped. I'm now focusing on making the whole process reliable, especially imported reference sheets, button groups, axis directions and checking the result against real bindings.

The aim is a reusable controller template, not a card tied to one person's mapping. You don't need to bind every button or change your normal setup to help. Your usual .binds file, the exact controller variant and confirmation that the actions appear beside the correct physical controls are very useful.

Thanks again for the files, screenshots and offers to test. I'll share previews for validation before announcing support as available. For uploads and testing, please use https://beta.edrefcard.info/ ; the original live site is separate.

I'm using the WINCTRL URSA MINOR Combat HOTAS

URSA MINOR Fighter Joystick R
WINCTRL URSA MINOR Combat Throttle Metal.EX 1.0

The Stick is listed as Winwing Ursa Minor Fighter but I can't find the Throttle listed.
