When I pasted in the code it just said 'Key accepted...you'll be able to use this decal after update blah blah....' but that was it. I didn't get an e-mail or anything and there is nothing new in the info on my account. Anyway, decal? I thought it was a paint job?

It is a paint job, the text appears to be generic. You should get an email later.

I would say that it would be better if it was certain ingame events, that maybe required a random chance or such to start it. Or such?

OK, so I have refreshed Twitter, Facebook, Forum and Reddit. In the couple of minutes there were giveaways on Forum, Facebook and Twitter. I have entered all codes within couple of seconds they were posted - all too late. I am not going to bother again, its ridiculous.
