That is indeed amazing... I reaally really hope Frontier releases new badges for this game. I would like to post a picture of my 2015 badge on the holographic forums of 2045 when the new Elite game is released.

Hey, how's it going guys. I did play the original Elite but was too young to appreciate it, my Elite days started properly when I bought Frontier for the Amiga. Loved that game. I'm a new player of E, just getting into it and loving BEING in space using my Oculus DK2.
A few years ago I came across one of these badges that a friend of mine gave me whilst clearing out some old stuff. Do I count as number 12 or do you actually have to have earned it for real?

I also became an Elite commander on the Commodore 64 (see badge and C64 with badge photo's) …I still have the C64... alas, it no longer works!… It took me many months of game play to achieve that elusive Elite status, but it was worth the effort, as it was such an original and ground breaking game during those early days of the computer revolution.
I have been playing Elite Dangerous for the past nine months... and am well on the way to becoming combat elite, however, my ultimate aim is to become triple elite, I guess that going to take quite some time!
