Keep up the good work FD.

So are all server side updates needing server downtime? or are not seeing the non-downtime server side changes as they are not being publicised?

I ask because I am doing missions and accepting missions with time limits is a pain if the servers keep going off. The one time my mission timer got frozen I think was a fluke as the next time it happened I was left with a mad dash to a station to deliver my cargo.

Still getting dropped out of Hyperspace on 10 out of 10 jumps. Still stuck 250 LY "south" of Sol. Problem persists since Gamma 2.05

I reopened my ticket for 1.0.0.0, still no reply. This is getting tedious, guys.

You might want to add this below to your ticket to help them, it looks like your computer is closing the connection not theirs (presumably they are using nginx as their reverse proxy/load balancer) so they might not be finding any problems their side. Also give them your external IP address so they can more easily trawl their server logs.

From StackExchange:
HTTP 499 in Nginx means that the client closed the connection before the server answered the request. In my experience is usually caused by client side timeout. As I know it's an Nginx specific error code.

Thank you Ed. Any news regarding the friend list text&voice comms problem. I am not the only one to have ticketed it already, and it's kind of a bummer to not be able to communicate with friends outside your current instance.

Friends list is they such a thing? If so how do you add someone as a friend?

Thanks, winston - they got my external IP address in the ticket, I didn't want to post it here since it is a fixed one. Also this worked flawlessly up until 2.05, and I am (by far) not the only one with the exact same problem. Still: thanks for your input, much appreciated!

Hah. I was afraid that the retail players wouldn't get to experience the joys of daily build release. It really is good to see the team still hunting and killing bugs as they emerge. I wish more companies would treat post-release as second-phase gamma.

Thanks, FD!

Hi everyone,

Day 2 of Elite: Dangerous being out there in the real world, and we already have a little update for you all. See the full change log below:

  • Removed "Elite: Dangerous 1.0.0.0" version text
  • Fix one cause of infrequent disconnections during hyperspace when server load is high
  • Fix an infrequent system map crash related to data associated with specific systems
  • Fix some debug strings being shown in slave-related mission descriptions
  • Fix some ambiguous galaxy data in a small number of regions
  • Fix two different very rare networking crashes
  • Diagnostics to help track down one cause of disconnections following server island migration
  • Diagnostics to help understand some graphics memory allocation failures
  • Diagnostics to help track down systems with possibly inconsistent minor faction data
  • Diagnostics to help understand if some bounties aren't being awarded
Hope everyone's enjoying the game - thank you so much for playing! The development team are still hard at work, and appreciate every tiny bit of feedback seen on the forums. Thanks again.

Great news, keep those fixes coming! :)

Any idea when we can expect a fix for the reputation system? It has been confirmed by FD it is buggy at the moment, for example bounty hunting is not properly rewarded and will get you hostile with the feds. It's so much work to get from hostile to unfriendly, let alone neutral. Byt from neutral to hostile can be achieved in hours while not even doing anything to alienate them. Not sure if the cause is already known or if you are still looking for it?
