Commanders who cannot load back into the game after a certain type of Hyperspace failure should be automatically rescued to the last system they safely docked in.

This is a very bad joke...
We're making an Explorer-Event at this time and some commander are beamed back to their last Station.... many thousand LY back.....
It's a Desaster...

Any Kind of fixes for that? hope so!

Many people seem to have missed this post: ...

I must have missed another post that tells us when the servers will be back up again, but reading this thread feels like everyone is able to play while I still can't connect to the servers. Michael said the servers "should" be up again, but they aren't and now silece reigns... the ED site still sais issues detected, so how can people play? There's even one who claims it has been on "issues detected" since 1.3 is out, even though we all could connect prior to 1.3.01. But well, I don't check this while it works. Restarting the launcher didn't help, too. It's almost 4 hours past the initial 30 minutes they should have been down and I'd appreciate some official word on the actual server status :)
 
After patch my imperial rank rolled back to count from Duke. Now, as if by magic, I am back to Duke. Not sure what I had done. I am just flying around.
 
please for the LOVE OF GOD why am I PRINCE in the EMPIRE I have not done any of the missions and due to the bugs over the weekend I am forced to have the rank of PRINCE.

PLEASE PLEASE STOP CHANGING these ranks.....

lol, i've been grinding for more than 7 hours and i'm still unranked (promition don't appear), if only i could take your rank, all i want is the Clipper ><
 
thanks for the update BUT NO THANKS. logged back in the void, after a jump just to get in the last system i was, as soon as i jumped to the next system, "unrecoverable error".

si i waited for 6 months to start with the game seing it was released early, and i have more disconnect thant i ever had during the beta, so i guess i'll wait another 6 month to try again...
 
Hi everyone,
To address problems from the above issue, all minor faction influence levels in all star systems have been reset back to their state just before the release of 1.3

For those Commanders affected by the problems with military ranks, their Federation and Empire progression has been restored to the state just before the release of 1.3

uh-oh :D
TL;DR the whole thread but I think this ^^ flipped some tables :D

This is not what I am seeing. Just travelled 1000K Ly and repeatedly got double scans, missing targets until second honk. I see no difference from 1.3 to 1.301 apart from only getting 2 transaction disconnects in the hour (rather than around 6).
 
We will revert the ranks to the highest of what they were before, even if that was incorrect. Progress will also be reset to an appropriate level for that rank. This change will be active later today.

(Don't know if you can... but) Please calculate offline the correct rank everybody deserve based in the missions we make during the weekend, and then apply the good one.... Ideally add the correct amount of credits from the bugged missions.

Same here. Like 20 disconnects in 3 hours. Every 3-5 jumps disconnected. Most annoying thing is that I have to replot the road evrytime I get back....

This fix is much appreciated, but...

...you do of course realize that your network stuff is a messy affair if something like this can even happen, right? So you got the following multiplayer mechanisms in this game:

1) Client/server stuff for the galaxy server doing things like matchmaking, stellar forge, trading, global scorekeeping, powerplay and such,
2) VoIP,
3) P2P networking between game clients,
4) Text chat?

Really?? You have four network mechanisms?

Could you guys move the text chat into the matchmaking thing please? So that all text chat goes through your game servers? There's not a whole lot of text being chatted in this game, I'm sure someone half-competent can squirt out a well-performing solution for you. If you have to do extra NAT negotiation just for the text chat then something's wrong with your game.

Servers are distributed, and sometimes they aren't even directly connected (geographical segmentation). Text and voice chat are basically major thing that makes sense for peer to peer. It's also a real time comms.

And the same - repeated double scans and regular D/Cs, plus a complete inability for the game to plot a route beyond a single jump's range. 1.301 has changed nothing for me...
