Elite Dangerous 3.0: The Terrifying Start Sequence

Before beyond was release 2.4 started up in about 3 minutes. But now that 3.0 has been released, I need to TM kill elite at least 2 times, before it actually loads properly. Sometimes that doesn't work even and I have to unplug my computer which is completely outrageous. The whole process can take up to an hour to do, and is very painful especially since I can't be on the game at all times.

The game also regularly sends me crash reports during loading which is peculiar since it continues to painstakingly load.

Unless it takes a really long time to load, and messes with your computer a little, let me know just to clarify.

Sorry you're having issues, currently I'm using a fairly old PC build (Win 10, Phenom 955, 8GB, GTX 960 2GB) with no issues, loading time is near enough the same with no lock ups, perhaps post your current PC build so we can assess it for potential issues.

Have you updated your drivers recently? I'd do that, then contact FD support. This forum isn't going to be the best venue for this issue.

Works fine as usual by me. You could also try validating files from the drop down menu under OPTIONS in the E: D launcher:

Many intelligent, helpful people here -- maybe share:
1. Your PC age & specs & OS version
2. Maintenance routine (cache & temp file cleanup, registry cleanup, etc.)
3. What else your computer does (i.e. dedicated gaming machine, or do 5 other people use it for their taxes, web development, virus testing, webserver hosting...)
4. All clean of malware, bloatware?

As stated, I'm sure FDev support have "seen it all" and might be able to help you focus on the cause.

Allow me to recommend one (or more) of these:

If that's not fast enough, you'll have to wait for the trinary processor and quantum computing.
