Not exactly. They said about state of galaxy, but since I remember that was said that pledges are restart after the update.
And as I read about PP2.0 I totally understand why.
Genuine Answer: Because then you'd have to do two releases within a week instead of one. You'd have to separate the Mandalay-relevant pieces of code and art from the rest of the update. It's all a ton of extra work for almost no reward. A couple more days won't make a difference.

I wish FDev keeps certain amount of Power NPC's aggression, not entirely removing. At least I want to feel BOTH risk and benefit from pledging certain Power.

And what's your source for that? I'm not trying to argue (honest), but as far as I know, Frontier haven't given a date, hence why I'm trying to get Paul Crowther to actually say something ....

Fdev should first let:
- ED partners play-test the update for a month prior to a potential release
- Evaluate the bugs, feedback and necessary improvements
- Fix the bugs and implement feedback, improvements
- Announce an official release date
How about the 7:th of November, 3 months after it became available for ARX..
I haven't heard frontier stating that it would coincide with the Ascendancy update..
Have Frontier said that? Or is that just something the players keep repeating?
FDev should have also announced the latest "new feature" in February to avoid rampant speculation, and everyone to raises their hopes up in all camps only to be disappointed when its not what they were actually hoping for.
I don't think that's very embarrassing, it something that can happen with software releases..

All I know is that Frontier stated that the new ships will become available for credits 3 months after early release for ARX.
Anything else has been invented by players...
Of course we can hope that they release the T-8 for credits a week early, but..
I keep telling CMDRs to change it up and say Mandalate once in a while, but nope!
Cheers for getting the streamer slaves to test it and fixing stuff before release though, it's for the best
its an educated guess based on previous ship releases, specifically the python mark 2. when it was first released for ARX it took exactly 3 months for it to be fully released for credits
