(V1.05) Economy : Stations w/ hughe Distances to Sun - no effect on Trade/Demand metrics
Unsure if it's been officially addressed already, hence I'll post it here.
Stations with hughe Distance to the main Sun show no effect regarding that massive disadvantage.
Since in Trading (and thus supplying a Station or even Reputation work being performed for it) Time is money - those Stations would have to be at a
massive disadvantage compared to others who happily sit i.e. 15Ls from their sun, being primary and preferred Trade platforms.
This disadvantage is nowhere to be found in the game on such stations, they're apparently being serviced by the economic engine without any regard to this important factor.
Being the remote islands they are in deep space, prices and demand
has to reflect that.
This is your average, >350000Ls (!) distant Station inside a System with competing Stations
far closer to the main Sun. It is apparently being fully serviced, doesn't need anything.
No sane trader would ever consider servicing such a Station, especially with far closer alternatives of the same type readily available.
I'd bet Harrison also sits there 0.22LY away and is being fully satisfied and included into the economic background engine like any other.
Stations like these would have to carry "Very High" and "Extreme" Demand levels. Something like valuable goods from far away would have to show prices similar to 'distant rare goods' ...
This is how a real economy works - outside of hardly anyone ever building a Station in such a remote, disadvantaged point anyway - unless there's a
really good reason & benefit. Abovementioned types of Stations in the Game don't have any of that.
And as a consequence, they do offer absolutely NIL incentive for a Player to ever dock there. But that incentive is absolutely needed to make Players do that.
Strong recommendation : add such incentives.
(V1.05) Already increased Reputation from Governments does not reflect on related Allegiance Faction Missions
If the Player reaches Friendly/Allied Status with a Government, this is properly reflected inside Systems controlled by Factions with Allegiance to this government (System Reputation if Allegiance Faction is controlling it, Station/Outposts/Ships Green etc.).
However, when doing Bulletin Board Missions for such Factions - the Player is actually starting off at near 0, as if he was just about Neutral with them.
This is further displayed when completing Missions under such conditions. Even with already Friendly or even Allied Status, the
actual Faction status (which decides which Quality/Scope of Missions are offered) indeed reads Neutral with the appropriate Trend.
IMHO if a Faction is Friendly/Allied due the Player having achieved this with Rank- or general Government Reputation, the Bulletin Board Missions must reflect that too.
(besides having nearly 0 benefit otherwise, at least this would allow Players with Friendly/Allied Government Reputation to get some actual benefit from it)
(Example of being Friendly with the Government - consequently Friendly with that Faction - but running low-level "Neutral-type" Missions that show these results)
