Odyssey on PC
I've come back to playing Elite after 3 years. I have frequent CTD's on foot. I did the usual updating drivers, cleaning my system of old caches. I have graphics set to high. Tried setting them to medium, but that doesn't solve the issue. In Horizons content (in space and on land) I don't have CTD's and can play for hours uninterruptes. But once walk around on a settlement or in on foot conflict zones it is bound to happen. Impossible to finish missions in settlements. Impossible to finish a on foot CZ. But i can keep relogging into the CZ to get some combat bonds. But it's no fun doing that.
I get more than 60 fps in space, on the ground in an SRV it drops to 40-50 fps. But that's always stable. Except when on foot in settlements.
I sent many crash reports and hope this gets fixed. It is apparent that the new odyssey content is the cause. As long as I avoid on foot in settlements I'm okay.
Even the crash report program crashed. Followed by the file validation process also crashing.
