Elite Dangerous End Game?

O.K! So after over 4 years playing this incredible game, I am now at a point of waiting for the fleet carriers to arrive. Now let me tell you about my ED story...

I originally played this game on a BBC Model 'B' way back when it first came out and I was stunned then by it's magnitude, I played it constantly, later I played Frontier but I did not enjoy it as much as the original, even though the graphics had been improved and I don't really know why. Then we get to 4 Years ago and WOW!!! this is the Space Sim I had been waiting for graphically brilliant in the extreme having played Microsoft Flight Sim and FSX for years my expectations of reality looking games had been realised. I am Elite in everything except Exploration which currently stands at 90% Ranger I have flown every ship in the game, I have been killed more times than I care to recall, but I have also killed the same, I have visited too many planets and space stations and done every type of mission available, but I have not been to Colonia as I am waiting for fleet carriers to do that and will be glad to be released from my need to use Jameson Memorial as my home base.

I am an Admiral etc and I own 2 x Cutters, 2 x Corvettes, 2 x Anacondas and a DBX (my Taxi) all my ships are 'A' graded and fully Engineered and all have the best weapons possible, I have plenty of materials in ships store for any future engineering needs and I have over 15 billion credits, if I need more I will mine my Double Painite ring in my 576 Ton Imperial mining cutter which gives me 450 million a trip so it wouldn't take long to get 20 Billion if that is to be the cost of the Fleet Carrier, so I am ready to go, so all I do now is wait.... Is this the END GAME?

I too considered sending debt collectors to ensure that licenses were paid and up to date. Even to startle those without televisions.
The real secret is that these forums are the end game. And I found the serum of fortification that allows me to use this place unaffected.
Sure, some complain it's alcohol and I'm using too much of it while posting nonsense here, but they just aren't as far in the game as I am.

if you feel accomplished and there is nothing more you can do simply wipe your save, start over if you have the nerve

There's still 90% odd of the galaxy to explore. but yeah, I've done what I call everything else, time to wrap it up..

There's a Goid invasion happening.. Raxxla.. And what was that green thing that flew away before I could scan it? Plenty going on in the galaxy when you get beyond the shallow levels..

From a personal perspective (in a very similar situation), I guess yes... waiting for new content after some 9+ months without any interesting new content is what it's mostly about.

True Endgame though is when you're posting a Thread in this Forum - but there's noone left to read it ;)

Will Fleet Carriers be destructible? Seems unfair that NPC capital-class ships are indestructible if Fleet Carriers are not.
