I thought this information below would be better in a new post for you, just incase this statement got drowned out in the original post.

I can absolutely confirm from all sides that:
Any future improvements made to in game UI clarification of the inability to not further modify/add experimentals to pre-modified module rewards, will not negate any previous modifications/added experimentals you have to currently owned reward modules already acquired.

To be double clear,
you will not be able to add experimentals on the new CG FSD reward from the latest CG.


I'd also like to add that we are not stating that all future reward modules will not be able to accommodate applied experimentals.
We just need to be clear with which are able to and which aren't. This is all in heavy discussion and noted.

Moving forward on this issue:
It goes without saying that conversations had from today have left us with more to discuss internally as to how we handle your interactions and expectations with reward modules.
I know at first I mentioned that we would aim to fix the In-game UI indication of whether a reward module could be further "tweaked" or not as an aim for Update 9, but the experience as a whole needs deeper rework based off feedback gathered and discussed today, so I can no longer confidently say that timeframe is possible (of course, we'll keep you updated as we go).

We will do what we can to make it clear if a reward is able to be tweaked or not by other means still in discussion (watch our..spaces).

The positive I want us to take from this though is that we have this all flagged up with all of your feedback and we will keep you in the loop with developments as we move forward on plans and discussions ahead around the matter.

Sally, while you're around can i ask a few things as i don't know how to contact you directly?

1. Colonia Bridge. The tritium respawn rate is terrible, just as Colonia itself has been since June 2020. If the developers are concerned about mods to a pre-engineered FSD, why aren't they concerned that without tritium the Colonia Bridge has no use that isn't already provided by the existing 20 Colonia Highway stations?

2. We would love it if you could join our discord so our Admins can communicate with you like we used to with Tim. Our link is below.

3. Please can FDev create a discord server purely for the purpose of publishing links to your forum/Twitter posts using discord's Announcement Channels feature? They'd come straight into our servers. At the moment finding news from FDev requires pot luck and informed friends. Such a server would not need to have any chat channels, it would simply to get your info to us. We at Fleet Carrier Owners Club already send carrier trip information via an announcement channel to 208 servers and it works really well. Thanks!

So I have been sitting patiently at Felicity's for a week to put a special effect on my CG prizes only to find the bug is not a bug it's a poor design choice. FDEV, you must be consistant with the Double Engineered FSD's. You can not have Grade 5 Doubles with special effects and the other Grade 3,4 & 6 without. It's complexity and confusion we just don't need.

You must also state clearing in the CG about such things when you launch the event. If I knew what I knew now, I would not have raced to join the CG's (twice)
 
Can we just chalk this one up to "Engineering is fundamentally broken system that can't be fixed because it is completely inconsistent and not even the developers of the game know how to work with it."?

And then work towards removing Engineering from the game?
 
Updated the thread to be clearer on the latest FSD reward and whether it's modifiable (spoilers, it isn't :().
But that sucks :( I'd been feeling really excited about these CG and broker modules since the announcement of more modified FSDs and playing with the new modified Plasma Chargers, now that's all replaced with anxiety about what limitations they are going to announce next. I hope they change their minds and allow experimentals to be applied to these seekers and FSDs.
