That could actually be an excellent game loop.
It would be sick to find a hull and refurbish it by gameplay, hiring contractors and collecting resources.

What if ship kits had attributes and volume values.

You know I'd love to think that Frontier would release the server code, but I have to admit to being somewhat sceptical. I think I have more faith in the community's ability to organise to support 'Community Elite Dangerous' if and when the code is released.

It's not free, Horizons DLC costed money. The paintjob is supposedly worth what I paid for Horizons, but in my eyes it's not, I do not care for ty cosmetics, I want something actually meaningful. How about Cobra Mk4? Might be fun to try sometime. Maybe a rank increase, would make grinding that way less tedious.. Maybe a permit to a special system with station that has great discounts on everything? That'd be a great game-lifetime deal.

It feels like Frontier took our money away and just gave us paintjobs as "hush" deal, they do not care for those who bought the DLC to support their snail-slow development process. Elite Dangerous with it's tedious grind feels like a bad gacha game without the gacha, horrible time investment to do gain or do anything meaningful.

The only time I ever felt excited about this game was when Thargoids rumors started and hyperdictions began, it felt like something was going on in the game, then they copy pasted the interceptor model couple times with different looks and put no thought into differences between variants. Just upping the thargon swarm size and heart count doesn't make things better, they could've atleast tried adding another type of weaponry or ability.

People thinking the game has something good going for it are serious denial.

I'm disappointed.

I bought horizon and all I get are paint jobs???? - no you bought horizons and got additional gameplay for x amount of years, the paint jobs are a thankyou for that

its not fair I spent loads/some/lep money x amount of years ago and now someone gets it for free???? - stop worrying about others, do you feel you have got value? the fact that someone else might or might not whatever whatever should have no relevance on how you value your purchase, makes no sense

this game is rubbish fdev are rubbish i dont like it me me me i i i - stop playing it then

I paid money for this game I'm entitled for it fit my every want - no you bought into someone else's game and their vision

MONEY MONEY MONEY - if the money you spent was that much of a gamble because its x amount and you know RL stuff then the gamble didn't pay off. you don't get stuff back when losing a gamble

i keep going back to this, such a good idea, so many play implications and wipes out the ease of getting ships we have now

If there's anyone on the forum capable of causing mass arguments, it's apparently me since basically every time I post people start arguing. You would think I would have asked for something incredibly over the top instead of just a fun little ship that isn't used.

I just want the damn ship again. I don't care if it's not good. And if you wanna keep it exclusive because "forever"...well I got a lot of words for you.

All frontier has to do is make a poll anyways and ask people.
