I honestly cant see why I should be entitled to a Steam key, if I bought the game somewhere else.
EDIT: And I dont understand why selling the game somewhere else than where I bought it from should entitle me to some "free" stuff.
see above
Its not like I got a worse game out if it.
It doesnt make sense to me.
EDIT 2: And what are "added advantages" of using steam?
It isn't because the game was bought somewhere else/ Early backers paid between 150 to 300+ dollars just to test this game in an early state. At least part of the reason for this game being so expensive early on was to attract people who were the most in love with the idea of the game. Making such people feel slighted would be bad for business; don't think anyone has the power to stop the troll transformation if that happened.
Steam Advantages...
The game auto updates itself; you will never come home from school or work, to find out that the update could have downloaded while you where away or slept. I have about 180 games or so on steam and they all update themselves; the alternative I don't have time for. Also some of us have slower internet with no option for ISP upgrades in our areas and no immediate practical way to move.
Many of us use steam as our entire gameing friends network since like Counterstrike... a lot people like gameing with the same friends, they have always gamed with, on the same platform.
Modding is the easiest on steam of all platforms to create, share and use player made content in a variety of games.
Friends can request to watch you game to see how it looks or for fun whatever.. Think twitch tv with public and private friends options.
I could easily keep going but I'm not
I bought this game like a year ago from the company that made this awesome game. That same company put it on steam which is a platform that I love and millions of people use constantly. People are exited about steam keys obviously as I type on page 142. The Keys are coming and I don't see how it is going to affect you.
I'll never understand this what seems to me to be an 'I don't like ice cream so nobody else should get to have any' discussion. Not something free something that was paid for.
