I assume if you use a HOTAS you get to imagine that instead of walking around you're piloting some kind of bipedal mech from a head mounted cockpitHave they said how will we move while on foot? Usual keyboard/mouse WASD?
FPS would be a little nice to have. But it is nothing the Elite community is keen to have.

Use your time wisely and carefully create your own story...commander!Now we can all complain about how there's nothing to do walking around on these planets, just like all the Star Citizen players!
Yes the imagination is something very personal.Use your time wisely and carefully create your own story...commander!

Gamepads only.![]()
Exactly my plan. HOTAS for vehicles, and my trusty Steam Controller for for FPS.
Though one of the thing you can't blame FDEV for is controller support: it's one of the best game around here on this precise topic, both given the number of bindable actions and ways of binding them and multiple concurrent controllers support.
And, the infinite ways it forgets those bindings....

If they include on-foot Thargoid combat, just think of them as KaijuI wonder how they're going to do it on consoles. I am unable to change from HOTAS to gamepad and vice versa without restarting the game. Think it'll feel weird controlling your Commander with a throttle and stick...
You'll need a 8a imagination module for ship interiors and I heard no mention of caves yet! That is great, if FDev creates the prerequisites to do so.

Agreed. I wanted to add a 'but' or 'unless', but changed my mind as it would have been an essay. Can't find a 'Cancel' button, so posted. If I felt like that I'd play other video games instead and not worry about it.
Keyboard only. It will work like 'Track And Field' on the Commodore 64 et. al. For those that weren't around then, locomotion was enabled by left and right finger tapping for each leg.Have they said how will we move while on foot? Usual keyboard/mouse WASD?
