I agree in principle. But they'd have to refuse a refund because money. Therefore I'd amend your idea to rolling back to Horizons and running Odyssey as an official beta for any of the people who want to persevere with it and help playtest it. I'd just accept that I've pre-ordered something a year in advance.I recommend... take down the server, take down Odyssey, refund the people, roll back to Horizion only and release Odyssey 2022 - after fixing
the 5.521.124 Bugs... this update show is pure comedy... and of course not a good work. Sorry...
Would be the best..
I find attempting to play the game in this brittle state where I don't know whether the next update is going to stop the game working is actually quite stressful so I'm not taking on any missions and I'm steering clear of using any of my ships which I don't want to risk losing to some random bug. Basically I don't feel I can try to play any of the Odyssey content.
Proper play testing is a focused thing (play testers are given specific things to work on - they don't really get to play the game per se) and at the moment they'll just be getting swamped with complaints rather than uniformly constructive feedback. I also suspect the fixes could happen much quicker if they didn't have to try to keep the whole of Odyssey fully functional while they tinker with it.
They can release Odyssey in 2030 for all I care - I just want my enjoyable relaxing experience back. Selfish, I know, but that's how I feel about it.
If tomorrow's roadmap shows that they expect to have the game 100% fixed within a couple of weeks then I'll take all of this back and eat my hat of course. Now excuse me while I go investigate the pig I saw flying past my window.
