No, just that Steam needs to push an update first. Close steam completely, restart it and update ED within Steam. Then launch.

You're definitely lucky. I clicked on "update" ten minutes ago and it's still thinking about whether to even bring up the progress bar.

Will phasing thru my landing gear and other players be fixed? This isnt minecraft, i shouldn't be able to stand inside someone or my ships landing gear

Regarding the improvements to geysers: I'd LOVE to see something like cracks in the ground that spew water and steam. Something that isn't just that round bump in the ground spewing steam.
... ok... and mybe some rare POIs/wrecks in the black. really rare ... maybe every few hundred planets or so.
