Elite Dangerous on sale for £4.59 PS4

Base game is currently on sale through PlayStation at £4.59 (77%) until 27/10/21 (UK). Lowest I’ve seen it in a while.

I already own Life Time Pass on PC; however not had time to boot up my rig and hoover the motherboard to really play ED for some time, and now spend more time on console filling that void ED left behind.

Always wanted a second account on console, now it’s at a reasonable price… intending only to play Solo and not buy any skins.

Wonder if this is because Odyssey is close to launch on console - (!).

Excellent price for the base game on PS4, which now of course also contains Horizons.

I certainly wish they'd irony out those mystical performance issues that are apparently preventing development work on the console port from continuing!

I bought it for less than £10 originally about a year ago (in a sale) but ended up paying another 20 for Horizons so that price is a steal!!!

Sorry I don’t comprehend your wording, a little more detail is required? I really don’t follow.

What they mean is on PlayStation you only need to buy the game once. If that is installed to the console any user who logs into the console can play Elite on that console.

You could theoretically create as many PSN accounts as you would like. You then create a new Frontier account to link to each account. For free.

If you already own Elite Dangerous on PS you don't need to buy further copies for other users on the console to be able to play it.

You do have to purchase it once of course if you don't own it on PlayStation at all.

Ah I see.

Not sure if I alluded to it; but I’m a PC player initially; I purchased the game on PS4 to have ‘quick’ access to the game not necessarily additional accounts, but it’s good to know, thanks for the clarification.
