Elite dangerous protest day

They aren't working on the game because we had no news for 6 weeks is not an educated guess.
Then you explain why for the last four months, there hasn't been anything positive said about the future of the game? We have had updates 10 and 11 but nothing about anything past update 11 apart from a nod from Arf? We've had consoles put into maintenance mode (which is effectively the same thing that's going to happen to horizon/beyond players) and no changes to the planetary tech (which I thing was the right call if the game does have a future).

They're either hoping to replicate the build-up they had with the original reveal of the thargoids when they were first introduced for the (hoped for) on-foot thargoid conflict or there's nothing coming because Odyseey performed so bad and they don't want to tell us.

Personally I expect that's exactly what is going to happen. The other option is very unlikely, if they wanted to abandon the game there is no need to share the bad news about console development and planetary tiling first. There also is no need to employ 3 community managers and have them on weekly streams. And there is no need to build up new story lines in galnet.

On Foot Thargoids on the other hand... Well that's something they can't openly talk about, right? And it's something they can't implement when they want to change planetary generation (tiling). And if the expansion came out on consoles, it's surely something they wanted to have on all platforms?

Why should they waste their time with 11 updates when they want to abandon Odyssey?

I'm in, Pick a day and create an event on Frontier's new community calendar!
The announcement of such an event would likely have more influence on Frontier than the event itself, especially if one of the bigger gaming journalism publications picked up on it and wrote a story about it.

I also thought that after one year of Odyssey, we will have the next phase of atmospheric planets with a fauna... now, we should be happy if we get something new before the end of the year 2022.

7 years and the pace of content update is more than slow... besides of the other games they make ED was the money bringer for alle the other projects. This waiting on things are getting me mad and the next announcment will my final decision wheter I play ED in the future or not.

A day off in Elite... Come on, do you play this game seven days in a week? Like Fdev care who takes days of or not. Look how many posts we write in threads like this, instead every one of us could deliver a negative review on Steam yet written in a constructive and adult manner pointing things that bother and worry us. When our goals will be met we can change the tone of our reviews towards more positive.

I do actually play pretty much every day but in my opinion the game has progressed significantly since release, I am enjoying myself and I have no interest in trying to further damage the reputation of the company who makes my favourite game

I'm game, but only if we have an official protest song and only if we get Greta Thunberg to lead the protest 😀

More seriously, if you got everyone to stop buying ARX for a month, that might get FDev's attention. But good luck with coordinating that!

Whole weekend of biking alongside a beautiful river surrounded by lush hills. No buckyballing involved though.
I'm envious! I hope the weather is 'right' for biking and you enjoy every minute.
Me and the dogs are having a camping break next week, so it seems we both are looking forward to good times.

DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING.

I'd like to suggest 2nd or 3rd June 2022.
I'd even have a street party.

What if the whole community stops playing elite dangerous for 1 day in protest of the lack of development updates and information on bug fixes?
As with the others I doubt it would be possible to organise, unless you knew someone with access to the off switch for the servers.

If it could happen and FDev knew the date planned I think they would relish the opportunity to work on all sorts of things while there was no load on the servers.

Perhaps seeing it is a lack of information that is being protested a day where nobody reads or writes to the Forum, Reddit, Twitter or FDevs web pages would be more appropriate.
