Yeh I so want to order the disk too but not taking that risk without some dates now. (or at least confirmation disk and digital are simultaneous).

Is there any news regarding if Digital and Physical are being released at the same time? Or is the Digital release coming first followed by Physical sometime in Q3/4?

The original article quoted the Sold Out (publisher) saying "later" this year for Physical. FDev have never commented.... The wait continues.

Elite seems to be such a massive game... I haven't played it before and it is kind of difficult to gather the scope as a newbie, without having the ability to actually play the game yet.

I would like to convince a few friends to get the game as well - so a few questions:
1. anyone with a link to a good summary what the game is about? Not too long, just a general summary that someone who doesn't know anything about the gameplay gets an idea. I already found the day 0 guide in this forum, but eventually someone knows something else.
2. A more detailed explanation of the multiplayer options would be nice, as we would like to play the game together from time to time. What modes are there, is it possible to do missions / planet landings together etc.?
3. Anything else that could convince someone to get the game

1. Lots of stuff on the forums here, or some great youtubers guides. even the official training videos from fdev are on their YouTube channel.

2. You can wing up in game and fly/drive together. Three modes. Open, meet anyone and everyone online, multiplayer, with all the risk that involves. Private group, online multiplayer with less risk. Solo, no multiplayer action. Or multi-crew, where one or two (in larger ships) friends/randoms can fly along with you and taken on gunner role or fighter role if you have a ship launched fighter (only in certain ships mind).

3. Buy it, you will regret it (in that you will sink hours and hours into it because it's so awesome).
