Elite Dangerous | Update 13 Notes

Um... 'AX equipped' guardian modules melt upon entering the system. I was trying to scan the ship logs in HIP 24460 and just had to tuck tail and run from an interceptor in my AX ship that yesterday could have easily tanked the fire.

There are no more AX equipped ships - following Salvation hit the reset button on Guardian tech. I soooo glad I did the grind long ago - imagine those that just did the grind. LOL!
That's why I NEVER grind, only play. The mats & money comes by themselves. But, yeah, by the game design if you want to participate in a corner activity like AX you have to gather some stuff

@sallymorganmoore Played almost all afternoon and evening today. Really loving where the story might be heading!

A few notes about the performance though, while settlements do perform better when around them, ground conflict zones still underperform because of the lack of NPC optimization! The more enemies are around, the less frames. I hope this is something that you guys are aware and working on. There is also this... weird bug where when entering a starport the performance gets really bad and stays like that unless the game is restarted. Textures also sometimes don't load in correctly when this happens.

HIP 22460 has put Dangerous back in Elite. Great job! Looking forward to see where this goes.

The Thargoids even attack when you park on a planet surface. At least when you try to sneak out...

Yeah.... funny story about that. I sold mine as soon as I watched it completely not work time and again while in an AX CZ.

Activate it, it finishes, in comes the Interceptors, off goes the field from them and... shutdown.

It definitely works just fine. It sounds like you’re not using it properly. You must be firing it off while the Thargoid is shooting the pulse, you can’t take your finger off the trigger. You must have full SYS capacitance because it drains it pretty fast while it’s firing. Then there is a cooldown period as soon as you disengage the trigger.

It works fine you just need to time it properly. It’s been a must these last few weeks with so many interceptors around.

Try open galaxy map using keybind, wait while FPS back to normal and close it by keybind again. Don't scroll it.
Such a trick fixes 99% of FPS drops for me last 3-4 months.

Is that so? I don't have any Guardian weapons, only modules, and they worked fine as soon as I repaired the ship outside HIP 22460, is that not the case with the weapons? They're just fried forever?😲

I repaired mine as soon as I got back to the FC - but didn't return to see if they got fried again...

Good morning, Sally! ☕

Thank you very much to you and your team for fixing this CTD bug in CQC! The old fun is back and it will make it easier for newcomers again to join this great part of ED.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, & Thank you, (one for every year in game 3301 - 3308),
for making Elite Dangerous, back to being actually Dangerous again!

This is a blessing for most, if not all, veteran players who have been flying around in the Elite Dangerous galaxy since 3300.

There was a lot of hype for this event. "Remember the Gnosis" was mentioned time and again by players on the run up to the event. Yet some still arrived in paper ships without a field neutraliser (or the ability to use it properly:rolleyes:).

Nobody really expected he superweapon to work and remove the Thargoids from the game. Assuming that an aggressive alien species that has just been attacked by a genocide superweapon, wouldn't be a bit miffed at your human ship is crazy. I question the wisdom in thinking that you are safe in an active warzone just because you are unarmed.

It seems that many didnt remember the Gnosis (or even researched what happened last time we had Gnosis Thargoid event). Lots of explorers in paper ships died there too.

Sorry, did not read through all 6000 posts, but I am wondering... are people missing their ammo counts on weapons and other things like heatsinks? I have no ammo count on any of my MCs and heatsinks.

Update: I switched ships and I have an ammo count now on that ship's weapons and heatsinks. I went back to the ship I noticed this in, with MCs and heatsinks and heatsinks now show a count but MCs still do not.

Further Update:
Would seem to be dependent on the side you have them
