When will the exploration weekly assignment be fixed? I have handed in about 400,000 worth of exploration and received nothing towards the completion.
Exploration merits are given per system rather than per page, and there's a minimum system value before it gives any merits at all.
If you map an ELW, terraformable water world, or ammonia world, any of those should be enough to count and complete the assignment.

Remember to read the fine print though. My last UC weekly told me to sellnin a specific system. Also: Are the merits awareded after the 25% cut is taken? That could bite you in the derriere and push you below the threshold, I'd speculate.
You’re right.
I had a sell exploration data to a specific fortified system in which my carrier was parked. I went to the Bubble’s edge and scanned ELWs in 3 separate systems using Inara as a guide. Together with other sundry exploration data it totalled about 7mil back in my carrier system. I tried the local starport selling a system worth about 1 mil but it was fruitless. I sold roughly the same amount on my carrier and the mission completed. The ask for the data was about 391000 so no worries about the -25%.
Side note: this method does not work in a similar fashion for exobiology. My regular wingmate could not sell exobiology anywhere to complete his assignment. Selling to my carrier’s Vista Genomics did NOT help at all. AFAIK his assignment remains uncompleted.
There is an announcement about it somewhere buried in this thread. It's a temporary fix for the game crash that happens when equipping one of the weapons (I think a torpedo pylon or something?)
It was a fix for a missile module and for trade merits not awarding properly (though the latter sounds like it has not been fully fixed).

Hi Paul. Are Frontier going to do anything about the players that abused and exploited the bug with duplicating Power data? To achieve balance in Powerplay 2.0 you have previously punished players that didn't use cheats by removing personal progress gained by using stored exploration data, and then further prevented use of "old" explo data.
You have announced that publicly and yet these players did not cheat and they did not exploit a buggy feature. They were punished for using data they got in a legit way. So called "bomb-dropping" was a tactic used for example by Squadrons in Leaderboards gameplay and is nothing new.
FWIW I personally think this was a good move on your side to reset this for PP2 and my issue is not with that. My issue is that the player that used the legit data got their personal PP progress reset, while the players who duplicated the power data and then used those ill-gotten data to gain advantage in galaxy-level PVP feature did absolutely broke the rules and simply cheated. And seemingly they are going to get away with it.
This is very concerning to be honest and it makes me really think if I should get involved in PP2 and commit my time to it, if people can just cheat and get away with it. Any comment would be appreciated, even if only to tell us this is being handled behind the scenes. Or not being looked into.
Yup, this bug, happening since powerplay 2.0 is driving me crazy.<sighs>
No mention of fixing the galaxy map filters... (the filter settings reset when entering UI). This is causing a lot of problems. I regularly rescue commanders caught out by this bug, and am continually battling it myself.
It's not like flying a spaceship is a big part of this game.....
tell me, when I enter the state representative on the tab to pick up a help kit, the game freezes on this window and I can't exit it, neither take the help kit nor exit this window, only exiting to the main menu of the game helps, but if I go back for the kit, everything repeats, I wonder if it's just me? Maybe it's because of the large number of help kits, I just didn't take them, I've accumulated a lot, oh, so many resources were lost

I also had a problem with selling exploration data via port`s in X system - nothing worked - I sold in X for 1 million credits from systems scanned 30ly from my HQ (acquisition,undermining,reinforcement) further ones as well, nothing counted with merits and progress bar.
While in system X I took planetary scanning missions on the surface (srv) in a neighboring system, additionally I found unvisited systems to scan (FSS/NaviBeacon), on one of them I found 2 planets with atmospheres to scan (DSS) and on one there were biological signals - I also collected them (Exobiology scan 3xsamples), additionally I scanned the megaship and returned to system X to check cartographic data with the merchant.
And one scan (system) was passed - I don't know which one and for what. Nevertheless, the task was passed. I did the rest of the weekly tasks according to the films PowerPLay 2 0 weekly assignments and How to complete the Powerplay 2.0 First Week Assignments.

It's not the total value of the systems you are selling. Only a system with a value of at least 1 million (give or take, I don't know what the exact threshold is) will give you merits. Systems less valuable than that won't.
(Or, it's possible that the system scan you are selling must have at least one ELW, WW or terraformable in it for it to give you merits. I don't know if the requirement is this, or a minimum value for the system. One of those will almost always give you a million or several, so it's hard to discern without further testing or official specs.)
With regards to my post above I have to reiterate: selling 1 million credits worth of exploration data (single system with an ELW) to the local starport yielded no merits and did not help to complete the weekly assignment. I am based in Liu Bajara and the assignment specified that I sell exploration data into that system.
OTOH selling an equivalent amount of exploration data to my own Fleet Carrier which has a Universal Cartographics onboard completed the assignment immediately. I am uncertain whether the sale generated merits separate to the assignment merits but I think that isn’t really relevant.
