Elite Dangerous Update 7 Progress

Not really. The FD controlled Kumo Council BGS faction is in classical style bad for the 'real' Archon Delaine in Powerplay :D
Actually, they're just bad (on foot, anyway). That first fed-secession CG was a bit tough at times (more often than not, it was me against a pile of enemies). Against Kumo: there was only one instance (out of 30-40) where reinforcements were not available. Sure, I'd upgraded my gear a little (g3), but I wasn't doing that much better myself.

In space was another matter, but I still suck at space combat.

In reality it was petty jealousy because The King makes the best burgers.

Fix the low Frame rate issues once and for all otherwise its pointless playing Odyssey anymore no matter what gameplay you do.

That should be the top priority before anything else. Get the game running as it should, quick like Horizons used to be. Get the game stable.

I just HOPE, you dont mess Horizons up too with your updates.

You're completely right about this. 90% of the gameplay loops in Odyssey are about getting the stuff you need to efficiently grind ground high CZs, but they're not properly functional right now. It seems as though the AI and visual processing are getting snarled up in the CPU pipeline and when the frame rate drops because of the additional computations required by the AI, the AI behaves inappropriately... If CZs don't work properly, the entire gameplay loop is broken.

There needs to be a another look at the modding and engineer grind, some engineers are trivially easy to unlock but half of them require reinstancing the same settlement for six hours and murdering every occupant for a chance of picking up what you need. I like the effects the settlements have on the BGS, but there needs to be some incentive to attack a wider variety of economies and government types. I also wish it were at little less murder-dependent. It seriously feels like a high school shooter simulator and it creeps me out a bit.

So, nearly 500 posts .... forgive me for not reading it all .... can someone summarise the excuses the community have come up with on Frontier's behalf?

It's interesting that the original mention of parity for fixes in Horizons was linked or at least bundled with the update 7 announcement, but now it's "we're working on those but it won't be this update". Any timescale?
