Even in Solo there are lotf of changes that come from the shared state ... weird. Then again I know a lot of posters don't play, so 
I don't think he says that offline version would be a bad thing. He just says that it is most likely not going to happen. Because he understands how the game works and that changing it would not be trivial but with little gain for Frontier.

There is nothing wrong with repeatedly asking for things, my daughter is pretty good at this.There are things that won't happen and ED Offline will be one of those things.

Well we want to know what to do to make it happen. Whats a point in telling "I think its not gonna happen"? Let's be proactive instead of negative reacting.

FD said that they could make a Galaxy "snapshot" when they decide to shut severs down. Practically they stop developnig Horizons and frozen it. Why not make a snapshot and release offline Horizons?

Well, yes... That's it. We need some feedback from devs. Maybe to make it run they just need to correct few lines of code. As far as crowdfunding is concerned I dont think its a good idea since Braben once messed up with his promises. Develop new open source 'xElite' looks more realistic.
No, he's not, you did read the OP - he wants the current base game rewritten, not the 'old original ED' - that is long consigned to the digital shredder.
