General / Off-Topic Elite Fitness Group

If you are walking that is probably fine to do every day, I was more talking about running.

If you are going to step it up (pun intended) to running and have not already, I would also suggest going to see your GP before embarking on a fitness program. They should be good for advice - and free !

If you can do this in the depths of winter, think how great it will be in the summer!

Sounds like you should take a rest day actually if it's aching that much. Don't fear it, it's perfectly natural. You're not suddenly gonna put weight on for taking a rest.

If you're worried about the 500 calories that much then try not eating them instead of burning them :)

there ya go again,... trying to catch me into a fast!! :D

I will consider it deeply.. I have no ill effects from the run nights after 5 minutes, the next day legs are pain free and good (slight Ache going down stairs) but all good.

Im just wondering IF the 2nd nights should be something else... rest I understand is important.. Im just need to get the plan together...

Though I intend to run tonight... will report back how it goes..

I try to keep my daily intake 1200-1400 calories..

Cheers TJ nice tips.

Things going well and curry was very nice!!

I'm actually going to have to pick a different reward for 90kg
Not sure I will have a curry itch then

No problem. :D

I've knackered knees so running is out for me. I cycle which means I get to see more of the countryside and downhill is a bit easier as well.

And a few pints would be a excellent reward.

I did it! Finally back on the bike after an appallingly unfit and depressing 2 months off.

Good man, I'm waiting for the weather to get a bit better before venturing out. :D

I was up to 20 miles a night last year, but the pain will kick in as I've been far too lazy of late.

I wonder, am I allowed to make an Elite Dangerous logo cycle jersey for myself?

It'll go with my other Sci Fi jersey no onlookers ever get.

I'm sure you lot will...

A custom jersey only costs $29.99. Takes a while but dirt cheap and actually a good standard of apparel.

Can do full color printing as well so could feature some concept art in the design. *grins*

I'm off on one now!

I went to Tesco today... Only bought one chocolate item out of £60 worth of grub... I think I'm improving and to be commended....

I'm so desperate for chocolate that I'm tempted to hop in the car and come and find you. It'll be like a scene from the walking dead....

its a rest day today for me walking wise.. LEGS Need the night off!!! Moaning at me today..

Progress is being made... Feeling good at hitting goal and looking forward to my next weigh in :D

Well done fella! Don't over do it, brisk walking, gentle slopes, stairs can make all the difference. Running is all well and good, but can cause other issues. I'd really recommend long walks in the countryside (or something similar)- probably not too many round your immediate area, but am sure you can think of a way.

Yep, keep it up and look towards your next goal. You've done great to get under 100 kg!

There's no shame in having a night off, rest days are needed to avoid injury and to keep you enthused!

I'm about half way through the month and am really looking forward to a reward pint in February!
