That is fantastic, thank you very much.
Brilliant time for you there! That would have shattered my PB.

No probs.

I must admit to being the school cross country captain when I was younger, and competed in the Kent County Championships, so have always been quite good at running.

Thanks OSS. Very kind. Not allowed to rep you at the moment.

This community is terrific.

Withnail, I don't feel so bad now. My style is more "lumbering drunk" than "cross country team captain" :D

You need to let us know what your final tally is and your time! :D

Good luck..

Im having a great week weight wise... Have seen 95.2 and have stayed under 96 all week :D

Doc says my Blood pressure is still not where it needs to be but isnt worried as I am losing weight and we just need to check again in 3 months... when I hope to be around my goal weight... Im hoping to be in the low 80kg's

Its good to get a week like this that spurs you on..

In other news, I am struggling badly with pain during walks... not in my legs, just below my shoulder blades..

must be from the arms bobbing... but it is baaad... so hoping some stretching and push ups help clear it...

I did it!

Well, it was a beautiful day, clear blue skies and no wind.

The route was quite up and down, mainly up I am sure!

But my knee held out, almost, and I finished in a personal time of 2:00:12, no chip so done on the watch as I was at the back of field and took about a minute to get to the start.

So frustrating to be so close to 2 hours but I really had nothing left to give at the end and about 5 minutes after my knee seized up and I had to hobble off for a massage. Surprised you did not hear the scream of anguish as 2h ticked over and I was just a few yards from the finish. Pretty pleased though seeing as my first time and my mate said it was the hardest half he has ever done.

Thanks to all those donating. Still working on lots of avenues for that so will update maybe at the end of the week with the amount raised.

Hope I can still move in the morning.

'Kow - I have been suggested neural kinetic therapy by someone I trust a lot in these matters. Might help you.

This cutting phase must be going in the right direction; the other day I was able to put on a few pairs of trousers that simply didn't fit a month or two ago - the buttons literally would not do up! :)

I hope I can be done with this cut in the next two months, so I'll be able to bulk a little before the summer. ;)

Weigh in for me was great this week.

down to 95.2kg , 2cm loss from waist. so Really happy..

NO WALKING in 4 days is getting me frustrated but its me just not feeling right, having to sleep TOO much at the moment... most likely some depression seeping in.

SO tonight WALK hail, or high water...

I've just come across this thread, but have now been on my own weight loss journey since August of last year when I joined Weight Watchers. I had been trying to lose weight all year but without a great deal of success and, following a health check, decided I needed to do something more positive, especially as I had been told I was at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes! So far I have lost over 3 stones overall but still have a long way to go.

Tomorrow is my last day at work as I officially retire on 31 March but have leave to take before then. However, I am not going to laze about during my retirement and intend to keep active for as long as I can! Being office-bound for the last 27 years, I have spent most of that time sitting on my behind, so will definitely be much more active.

A friend of mine contacted me a few days ago asking if I was interested in joining her for a 10-mile "Pink Ribbonwalk" at Leeds Castle in Kent on 7 June - a sponsored event in aid of Breast Cancer Care. Of course I said I would and am now about to start the 12 weeks of training to prepare myself for this venture! It is many years since I did any kind of serious walking and I am determined to succeed - and lose more weight at the same time!

I have set up a JustGiving page for any donations and would be very grateful for any help in reaching my target of £100 - http://www.justgiving.com/Helen-Lister1953

Good Luck to everyone currently trying to lose weight, hope you are all successful in reaching your goals.

welcome Flossy,
Walking is such an easy exercise if you have nice weather where you are.. I like walking in the heavy rain as it reminds me how determined I am to do it..

Well done on 3 stones, and he'res to you reaching your goal.

I have made a donation :D

Heh, be prepared for my charity run in July .....
