Fiction Elite : Reclamation

Hi Drew, congrats on getting the book published! I'm a FBP backer at the hardback boxset level, but didn't back your KS earlier... do I get an ebook too?

I believe they are being sent out tonight for the FBP kickstarter

Cheers,

Drew.

I've already read 3 of the Elite based novels. And yours is, by far, my favorite.

I'm really hoping that what's mentioned in the epilogue is based on something that can/will actually happen in the game.

Thanks for writing this novel.

Thanks for those of you taking the time to comment, much appreciated! Touched by the feedback I've received thus far and great to know that 18 months worth of work is being enjoyed by so many.

I'd really appreciate your help with this next request. You've had the book for a while and I hope you've enjoyed it.

As you know Amazon is by far the biggest retailer of books, ebook or otherwise, and nowadays a book lives or dies on its Amazon rating.

If you're a customer of Amazon, and if you feel so inclined, I'd really appreciate a review against Elite: Reclamation on their site.

This is by far the biggest thing you can do for me right now, so if you've enjoyed the ride and would like to show your appreciation... don't clap, don't even throw money, please give me a review! :)

Here's the link to ER on Amazon.

Many thanks in advance for your support, Commanders. Right on and I'll write on!

Cheers,

Drew.

Minti2

Deadly, But very fluffy...
Only just starting reading tonight, but as soon as am finished will leave a review on Amazon :)

Great stuff Amigacooke. Thanks for the honest review, what particular idioms jumped out as not being in use by 3300?

Cheers,

Drew.

I've just passed chapter seven, and wanted to say how much I enjoyed a particular part of it. I don't think it spoils anything, but as always better safe than sorry...

After the studied shows of respect to the previous games, the little love note to the current flight model was very touching. It really caught the Zeitgeist, and I look forward to reading back over it as a reminder in future years :)

So is it Haoria (as Drew would have it) or Hoaria (as the galactic map has it)?

Btw, I like that the description of the Prism system is already in game.

I've now finished reading the book, and although my mind remains a whirl with concepts, one intelligible point has dropped out comparing your book with Kate's. This is arguably spoilerific for both books so I'll add a tag...

I'm starting to realise how you very much write with your brain, and she writes much more with her heart. For example, I found Salomé's long walk through the desert as symbolic as Angel being stuck in a tree; and I found the concept of being trained from birth for hyper-gravity as fascinating as the exquisite duplicity of high-level Imperial dialogue. But somehow my take-home image from Mostly Harmless will be a commander that can't get down, and my take-home image from Reclamation will be a Patron provoked to speak his mind.

It's Friday, it's time for an ER update. Reviews are coming in... what did folks make of my story?

If you've enjoyed my book and haven't yet been able to review it, please consider doing so. It's been very life-affirming reading the reviews from folks who've enjoyed my tale in the Elite: Dangerous universe. They're very much appreciated by me and will ultimately drive the possibility of a sequel. If you want me to write on, Commanders...
