Fantastic new website. LOVE IT! I practically got lost in reading and watching the trailers and had one of those strange 'time lapse' episodes where you realise an hour has gone by and it seems like a few minutes. Just like when you've been abducted by Thargoids. :D

"All the authors will need to get Frontier approval for their manuscripts. A small ‘chicken and egg’ problem here. Michael Brookes (at Frontier) only wants ‘final’ drafts, not unreasonably. Great update. Must be difficult to know exactly how to tackle this one, Drew, and is it holding you back? I can understand why Frontier Developments don't want to reveal certain aspects of the game at this time but surely there's some non-disclosure agreement between them and the fiction writers?

If that's already the case I apologise. It's just a thought that crossed my mind while reading your blog update. :)

It's not so much a problem with non-disclosure. We've got a good contract. Trouble is, some of this stuff just hasn't been decided yet, so we can't act on it. :)

A chunky update this week as we close in on the end of the first draft. It's time to consider the legends and mythos of Elite... and there's a bit of an announcement too.

Probably the most important milestone short of the main event, the first draft of Elite Reclamation is finished. 111,814 words at present count.

What's next? How I do take that rough first draft to polished published book? It's all here in today's update.
