Fiction Elite : Reclamation

Just a quick update for clarity. You may have seen this post regarding my character Kahina / Salomé and a new in-game faction calling themselves the 'Children of Raxxla'.

The owners of this group approached me with a very sincere request to adopt Salomé as their leader. Since:

- There are no obvious signs of FD providing future fiction licenses coming for the official authors
- I myself being aware that many fans are fond of the character (and perhaps disappointed she would not be able to continue her adventures in the Elite universe, or be a part of PowerPlay)
- I am working on other projects now > http://www.drewwagar.com/books/shadewardsaga/ < Launching Oct 24 don't you know. ;)

I was happy to grant them my permission for this to occur.

They've put together some excellent fan-fiction and artwork, which takes up the story from where I left off back in July (with Senator Kahina Tijani Loren mysteriously disappearing, and having something to do with the Dark Wheel). Fans from 84, lone wolf fighters and those who enjoyed my book will doubtless find this entertaining, there are plenty of references back to ancient Elite lore. It's not 'official' of course but you'll see why this group got my approval based on the content.

For those who wanted to support Kahina and Salomé in game - these are your folks, they have my blessing - I suggest you apply to the Children of Raxxla. I wish the faction the very best of luck as they have lofty ambitions as you will see.

If, in the unlikely event that licenses do become available, I'll consider picking the story up again myself. For now, says thanks to the fans for your chance to enjoy another adventure with some of the characters from Elite: Reclamation.

For those who enjoyed Elite: Reclamation and are looking for something in the same style, my next book is due in exactly a month. It will launch at Fantasticon 2015 in Hull on the 24th of October. It's not Elite, but it is SF and it will be a 5 book series (guaranteed!).

Set on a tidally-locked world where science, religion and politics clash and survival turns on the whim of a red dwarf star.

One further update.

A certain CMDR Corrigendum is planning to create a faction specifically for the defence of the Prism system from non-imperial powers. Corrigendum has asked for, and I've granted, permission to use Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney and Admiral Brice (from Elite: Reclamation) as the figureheads of this faction. More information should show up on Galnet shortly, but you may wish to contact Corrigendum directly for details.

As a follow-up, here is the Forum post introducing "Loren's Legion" to the community.

In 2 weeks? I just checked and it seems it can already be bought it for kindle, no indication of it merely being a preorder.

Edit: Yepp, could buy it, was immediately downloaded. I am going to start reading as soon as I finish the excellent Roadside Picnic. :D

We don't have much control over the Amazon 'go live' date, so it's a bit of a 'soft' launch there. It's officially launched (with paperback copies and a special event) at Fantasticon on the 24th. :)

If you can't wait (and are happy with ebook) - Amazon is your friend. Well spotted!

I will keep asking. I'm quite happy to write one. :)

Emanation is SF though and has a similar style and tone to ER - better still it's a guaranteed series! :)

Oh I am patient and if you wish, will wait and not start before the official launch date. :D I went to Amazon expecting to preorder, and was quite surprised that it was an immediate purchase instead. :)
