Fiction Elite : Reclamation

Just received notification of this review of Elite: Reclamation. I rather liked it, as it has some balanced criticism of the story alongside the praise. Can't help quoting the tag line though. ;)

"If you’re an Elite: Dangerous player this novel is absolutely, unequivocally a must-read." :)

Thanks, CMDR! It's still good to see people finding my original story after all these years.

Cheers,

Drew.

I have to say when i read reclamation its the only novel i felt compelled enough to email you directly about to say how much i enjoyed and being the true gent you are you emailed me back! I think its a very fair review i may not have enjoyed it as much if i didnt love the game but feel the game is so much richer for having the story.

Cannot wait for the next story!

My hope always was that the game and the book would complement each other. Games and books have rather different capabilities, but both allow you to experience 'getting lost' in another world. :)

I'm hopeful the new book will continue that - explain a little of the mystery to date, start some new ones, add to the lore and entertain everyone along the way. Certainly that's the intention. Thanks for the kind words, Commander!

Cheers,

Drew.

just finished listening to the audio book for reclaimation, very well written and interesting story although there is a down side to the book just so you know Drew and that down side being the it's not long enough XD

EDIT: actually make it 2 problems the second being who is this mysterious elite pilot and where are these co-ords? ;)

People have been looking in-game for two years... they're still working on it, but they're doing rather well at present!

I fully expect Premonition to be a little chunkier than Reclamation. :)

Drew.

oh i know all bou..... wait no i don't ha ha wouldn't be a mystery if i did would it now =) but yeah i know there a mystery there and that clues where in your book but other than what ever it is being on the far side of the rift there's not anything else unless we're supposed to figure out and find this old pilot of course but we have no clues about her other than she was 'elite'.

and are they doing well? i know they've found the beacons and 3 'settlements' and the data contained in them but thedata doesn't appear to hold anything solid we could use to find/solve the mystery unless we're all missing it completely.

a little chunkier sounds good hopefully there's more mysteries revealed to us and solutions to ones we have now like the thargoid(providing thats who they are) interdictions and guardians

Elite Reclamation just got it's 100th review on Amazon, which is an amazing milestone. Many thanks to all who left a review - all very much appreciated. :) Fingers crossed that Premonition does as well!

Cheers,

Drew.

I was confused why I only saw 23... the USA (.com) reviews appear to be separate from the .co.uk reviews. I put in my five stars from my continent over here FWIW.
I just finished Reclamation a couple weeks ago.

Thanks CMDR - Yes, the different regions do keep their reviews separate for some reason. No less valued though! :) I will work on getting the US reviews up too!

Cheers,

Drew.

If there are insufficient numbers of customer reviews for a product, Amazon often shares reviews from other regions - for example, if there were no reviews on the .co.uk site, several of the .com reviews might be shown on the product page. These get removed after there is at least one regional review (the threshold seems to vary by product).

Cross-posting between regions is permitted, so a customer can review the same product on both the UK and US sites. For what it's worth, the amazon.ca site has only one review.

Need more Canadians!
