Hey ghcannon, how did you go with the SS1.5 testing?
Yesterday, with SteamVR and SDK0.8, I could run ED with Supersampling of 1.5 which looked almost as good as SS2.0 (but with a manageable performance hit).
Today, with the latest ED, SS 1.5 offers no improvement and SS2.0 still has an unacceptable performance hit.

Well it's kindof interesting really ... yesterday when the update shipped I didn't really bother turning on fraps as i just wanted to go ingame. Today when I did, I saw that with no supersampling from the game I kept mostly 80-90 fps when around a planet. When I put 1.5 SS on I got a slightly noticable improvement in visuals but my FPS went to 50-55. It was still very smooth gameplay so timewarp ftw i suppose.
For me it's worth it because I really dont get any judder even at those low fps, but if I did get them I'd turn it off immediately.
SS 2.0 is more noticable in visuals but I might as well just stick a finger in my throat ..
Furthermore ... I'm getting quite sick of getting thrown out of ED when the Xbox controller goes to sleep .. no setting to disable that ofcourse ..
