i am super excited to finally announce Elite YuleTube!

After three months in the oven, we can present you with an unprecedented cooperation between many of your favorite YouTubers!
Starting December 13th, 1800 GMT on CMDR Turjan Starstone's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/turjanstarstone), you will be treated to one video every day, leading up to a grand finale on Christmas Eve. The videos are somewhat connected by an overall story arch, here's all i can tell you for now:

The Galaxy's biggest Mega-Corporations have cancelled Christmas, because they smell profit in the war looming above the horizon. Our Brave Commanders are not having that and try to save Christmas Night with a cunning-ish plan.

The first question a lot of folk ask me when I tell them about this idea is usually "How did you do it?"
Once they've seen the entire series, I expect instead they'll be asking "WHY did you do it?" :D

Seriously though, this has been an amazing creative project and Greytest & I are relieved we can finally talk openly about it - it's been tough to keep the lid on this cauldron of creativity because it's literally bubbling over with so many creative juices (oo-er!)

is spot on - the whole idea I had was that all our creators should be free to tell their piece of the tale in their own style, because that's what they do best! So that's what they've done, and this project is the result.

We're all happy to finally be able to share our journey with you - fly Christmassy, CMDRs!

Really looking forward to this! [heart] I love Christmas-themed sci-fi. Used to buy annual Christmas-themed sci-fi anthologies back in the day. Sadly, they are a thing of the past. :eek:

Exceptionally cool, guys! Is there a "PG" rating? I'd love to introduce my niece to 'Elite Dangerous' and SOME of the content out there, (YES, Yamiks! ...you know!) but don't want to upset her parents, as she is only 10!

MOST of it is, yes.... well kind of, maybe PG13?... let me put it this way... hmmm... ok... you might want to watch the videos first and use judgement... there are some... ahem, more mature moments in a couple videos, but very rare from what I've seen... I don't want to spoil anything... he he he... uh, there's like, a slightly naughty bit in one of my videos involving a Y-.... NO SPOILERS! OK.... how do I put this?.... we didn't put any restraints on the content, so it's technically unrated... i'd suggest watching each as they come out and deciding which to skip (shouldn't really affect the plot too badly). Once they're done, you could, in theory, marathon through the playlist after Christmas!

This isn't an FDev run story, it was/is planned and executed entirely by YT'ers like myself, Turjan, Ascorbius, Ghost Giraffe, Spatula, etc...

Its nothing to do with Elite's ongoing story, though it would be awesome if FDev somehow made it part of the game lore :D

Knowing what happens in a couple of the videos... If FDev even came up with some of this stuff, we'd have them sectioned. There's some hilarity coming :D I'm so excited.

Yes Alec I agree, we have all put a lot of time and effort into this project and it would be a shame if it passed people by...The more people who spread the word the better!

No because the story is not boring enough to be in-game. If they remove all the humor and the interesting stuff it may be accepted.

Plus 50% of the fun of the game is already out-game (INARA,EDDB,forums etc)

But like any online game is 90% all about the community and Elite may not have good stories or rpg or strategy but they have created a great spaceship sim and an even greater community.

These videos are awesome, keep them coming, amazing work guys, you rock !!!!
