Horizons Empire rank up missions not working Cubeo

Hi everyone!

i recently flew to roskam enterprise in my asp explorer hoping to do some rank grinding. When I see forum threads and YouTube it looks like missions against metcalf keep should be in abundance, however I see no missions relating at all to metcalf keep. I have switched back and forth from solo/open and restarted the game but the missions stay relatively similar. Is there something I'm doing wrong or has FD mercd the missions? My combat rank is expert and my trade rank is broker. I am 80% friendly with empire and my rank is serf at 79%.

update: I've now tried Morgan depot on hip 10716 and the same thing has happened, I'm only getting boom time data delivery missions

The thing is, missions are now tightly tied to an economic state of the faction. That means that a faction in certain state will only give you certain missions.
It was done to prevent mission grinding and introduce more variables into the equation.

that means that if you are in one place too long, doing the same missions over and over, that place will change, giving you new opportunities. And preventing you from choking yourself with grinding boredom.

Find another system. Move around. Have fun. o7

thanks for answering! It's acc so annoying that I can't grind, now I have to run around the galaxy looking for good missions
in this latest update FD has nerfed ranking up and smuggling, I mean, how much difficult can this game get?

The whole point of Elite from the start is long play time.
David Braben said, for example, that it would be considered appropriate if reaching the Elite rank would take at least a year.

If you are able to max something out in a week or two, then it is a design flaw and will be reconsidered.

Simply put, if you stop playing the game and will only "play mechanics" (=grind) you will have a hard time. Can't say I disagree with that approach. It took me a year and a half to get money and ranks for a Cutter, even in times where grinding could have it for me in 10 hours.
Please try to keep yourself entertained, rather than to chase after things.
