Engineered Death?

What happens if I Engineer a ship, then get killed? I have noticed that Engineering is not, as far as I can see, increasing my Buy Back Cost amount, so, if I die, do I get my ship back with ALL Engineering that I had done to it? Thanks!

What about if you choose one of your other ships instead of rebuying your own?

Basicallly im trapped halfway between sag a and the bubble, and i considered killing myself then choosing one of my other ships currently located in the bubble. Will I then be able to rebuild my current ship including the engineered modules?

You can't choose your other ships. It's either the ship you died in or the Freewinder.

If you self destruct and select your current ship you get transported to the nearest non-hostile station- which could be Explorer's Anchorage, or one of the stations on the Colonia Highway so take a look at where you are first.

If you take the Sidewinder option, you're guaranteed to be back in the bubble but you completely lose the ship you were in.

If you're just stuck in a system, you could call the Fuel Rats (a quick internet search will find them), or if you're lucky someone on here might be nearby.
