Newcomer / Intro Engineering transfers to a bigger module?

Had a Hauler with a 2A FSD drive, fully range engineered by Felicity.
She also engineered the sensor.
Upgraded to an Adder but now it seems I can use the remote workshop to apply the engineering to the new scanner, but not to the new FSD drive.
How is that even possible?

Maybe your FSD blueprint is unpinned?
You can only pin one modification per engineer.

Presumably you pinned the sensor blueprint, but not the FSD one?

You can only remotely engineer modules if you have the correct blueprint pinned from an engineer that offers that upgrade and you can only pin one blueprint per engineer.

you can 'pin' one blueprint per engineer (no experimental effects though)

that BP is available in Remote Workshop at most places.

You need to have the blueprint pinned in order to use the remote workshop - and you can only pin one blueprint per engineer.

There was also a bug where when you bought a new ship your blueprints were un-pinned, but that's been fixed long time ago.
Although in Elite many bugs reappear at random, sometimes.

But I really do think it's the above.

Why? You can switch to solo before making the last jump into Deciat.

Also, blueprints magically unpin themselves. Rarely, to be sure, but I've had it happen.

Just remember to dock at a station near Deciat first to "save", so you don't have to undego the whole journey again, if you get destroyed.
