Is there an optimal or recommended target weight that will get the most out of Courier with ET? Obviously the lower the better, but what mass are people running when getting those great speeds?

It's quite dependant on what kind of optimal mass reduction you end up with on your thruster mod. Your best bet is rolling the mod first and then planning the rest of the build around it with coriolis.

Sorry to reopen this; but, coming back to F=ma, rearranging gives a=F/m. If the same booster only ever produces the same force, then the acceleration is equal to a constant divided by the mass. As the mass of the craft increases, the amount by which the force can accelerate it goes decreases.
