General / Off-Topic Ennio Morricone: Oscar-winning Italian film composer dies aged 91

Ennio Morricone, the Italian composer whose credits include the "spaghetti" Westerns that made Clint Eastwood a star, has died in Rome aged 91.

According to Italian news agency Ansa, he died in hospital having fractured his femur in a fall some days ago.

The prolific composer also wrote music for Once Upon a Time in America, The Untouchables and Cinema Paradiso.

Having received an honorary Oscar in 2007, he went on to win one in 2016 for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.

What a talent.... RIP.

There are but a few people in history that have received so much praise and approval from all over the world.
But Ennio Morricone was undoubtedly one of them.

Wetter it is in English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean or French, people all around the world unanimously lament the loss of a man, whose talent and vision, compared to the greatest of this world like Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart, has profoundly touched and inspired generations of people through his work.

Ennio might have left, but as long as there are humans, and as long as there is art. His legacy will live on, and his memory will remain with us.

Riposa in pace, e grazie immenso Maestro!
