Everyone that is BASICALLY happy with the game post here please

I love the game too, pretty much all of it :), although I haven't tried mining.
Exploring & helping out small outposts are my favourite activities atm, so trading, fighting, exploring.

Yeah, I'm happy with the game too. I've worked up to a decent spec'd Cobra (yeah, I don't get to play much) and I have a machine that goes 'bing'. What more could you want?

I've been happy with the game and what it offers for its price tag. It has so much potential that's untapped. I personally would want to see Elite: Dangerous become more of an MMORPG than what it currently is with the P2P and the lack of social features like in-game guilds, money transfer, etc.

While there are things I'd like to see changed/added, I am sufficiently in love with the game that I ended up spending $800 on upgrading my rig, adding a DK2 & HOTAS, etc, to get the best performance I can out of it. Space battles and exploration in glorious VR are amazing beyond words.

I've been waiting for Elite to come back for years. Signed up for the kickstarter, been playing since Beta. Apart from a break during Gamma while I awaited news of the upcoming wipe I've been playing it almost non-stop since then. I've thought I'd tire of the game during the Christmas break, but here I am still avidly playing it.

Not claiming it's perfect. Not claiming it doesn't need more work in certain areas. I'll even admit that nostalgia is part of the appeal. But very happy that ED got made and that I got to take part in it.

I am a kickstarter backer, and while i don't play much (busy busy), i do really enjoy playing the game. I've been upgrading my base Sidewinder and still enjoying tooling around in it. I've got 500k saved, and at some point will upgrade to the Cobra. But happy to just tool around, looking at systems, collecting bounties and generally having fun.

2 days in with 4 hours sleep (because I wanted to play this game), it has great appeal for us space nerds :p and I can see myself losing hours and hours of game play enjoyment.
The first few hours, I jumped straight into open world, no tutorials, no flight testing, just straight into open world with no idea, as I slowly mastered some keybinds, maneuvering my ship, reading the maps and getting frustrated at pirates that would kill me for no reason, I was able to break free from populated space and off into the wilderness. Every time I jump to another system, I ask myself, what is there, who is there, will I survive the next jump, or maybe there is riches to be found ? who knows, the saga is forever ending.
So for myself, I like the game and is probably the best money I have spent on a game lately.

I love the atmosphere and the attention to detail. I love flying around. For now that is all I like about Elite.

I'm hopeful for the future.

I did the same thing. Downloaded it on release day, fired it up and started in open. To find myself in someplace called Trevethick Dock which had no commodity market (what's up with that?). I was extremely dangerous to landing pads for a while there. But I didn't do the tutorials either. Have never played in anything but Open and won't. This is Elite Dangerous, not Elite Safe.

I'm loving it and as for Addict in the Making, too late. Already done:D

I'm quite happy with the game right now. I think it will be much better when some of the proposed/upcoming features are implemented, but I think that all the doomsday threads about the game are nonsense.

For me ED was the money more then worth and the Lugh War was one of my greatest multiplayer experiences.

The support by the developors has been also always very great and there is more content to come.

Actually i am happy with the game but taking some kind of a break till Powerplay Update :)

Basically Happy!

A bit scared of multiplayer PvP as I sometimes barely cover insurance on my Cobra, and teh skillz...
Ah well. Someone has to be the target, I suppose.
