Exploits are boring and they twist perception about game into something it's not

I think people will always justify usage of exploits because why not, I am just here for Cutter and why you say how I should blaze my own trail.

And that's fine. But eventually we all know exploits are boring. Yes, they might give you something to do in a game you don't click with or don't understand but you still want to fly some of ships for some reason. But overall they won't solve your issues with game.

I just wonder - why do it? Why keep piling at it? There's so much fun in the world to do anything else if you don't enjoy small things in game.

All this does is create some alternate universe for people who don't really don't want to be here.

In your opinion...... Why worry about something that doesn't really concern you.. I don't use these get rich quick schemes myself and I don't need to but really I fail to see the constant need of people of the forums to try and bend people into their perception of how the game should be played, login do what you want to do and enjoy..

If you don't like it; Don't do it? Why stick your face in my game?

And truth be told; if fdev created engaging, rewarding and fun gameplay, we wouldn't need to resort to piling the credits in. But no, they make everything as difficult and long-winded as possible, leaving us frustrated and deflated at the effort we put in.

They've nerfed HazRez hunting by two thirds by making the KWS useless. So, I'm going to milk those skimmers dry :)

It doesn't effect you, so please; Play your own game not mine

Because *they* then grow bored as predicted and come on forums and try to bend game into something it's not or have been intended.

If they just exploited and owned that, I would care less. But someone reports exploit and gets hate threats on forums....nope, it is not just my opinion.

Yeah, folks play it their own way. I personally have never used any of these "get rich quick" schemes I see videos and posts about but I'm not gonna feel superior to someone that does (Not least cos I absolutely hammered Ceos/Sothis to get through those final 2 Federation ranks!). And to be honest I kinda like the idea of there being a quick billion credits to be earned out there. Should I ever need it. If I ever stumble across it of my own accord I'll be sure to absolutely rinse it.

Actually my best experiences were at ecploits .
There is loads of player interaction and the exploits are more fun and rewarding than general gameplay.

But that's just my opinion.

Get over it. These threads are just as bad as the ones your giving out about. What does this add to any discussion?

Just stop worrying/whinging about what others players do and you will be better off for it.

In what way does it not affect us? When I know it, when I see the stupid payouts which make no in-universe sense on the board, how does it not affect me? It most certainly forces me to not engage in content I would to enjoy because I know it would spoil the game for me. I buy video games on the premise that the designers did the work for me of providing a well-rounded, well-balanced experience, that I would only need to concern myself with playing the game and that fun would come naturally from it.

When I have to be careful to not play the game because parts of it are imbalanced and not working as intended, how can it not affect me?

Seriously, drop the whole "don't do it if you don't like it", it's stupid and it's insulting. I like it and I want to do it, I'm simply excluded from it because I know the progression system is an integral part of the experience and this messes with progression.

I am worried about perception.

And I also said it is boring. I don't see it as 'sky is falling' scenario, I just see same circus with people not engaging with game but only small parts of it because they choose not to - and thus dismissing it. And that's saddens me.

For instance, these exploits made the punishment part of C&P quite the pickle. Can't just have monetary punishments now since they would be either too harsh for those not making use of exploits or too lenient for those who do.

And for the n+1th time, Frontier decides how the game should be played. Not the forum people.

I had a lot of fun yesterday with some skimmer missions, that's why I kept doing it. At no point did it feel like grinding (I don't and never have ground for credits, the only thing I ever ground for was Palin and a couple of other engi unlocks.

So last night I made 120m, most I've ever made in one day by a country mile (like by a factor of 5), and I had decent fun doing it. I also finally learned how to assault high sec bases (cos it's just too much trouble to try to stack 20 missions to a single zero sec base, you need a selection of varying difficulty, both to be able to stack and to keep it interesting).

The high sec bases need strategy, timing and awareness, so I feel my rewards were justified, it is not something that just any pilot could do consistently.

Now, shooting fish in a barrel as per Yamiks video, is something that I feel is probably a little too easy for the rewards offered. Skimmer missoins should only spawn to bases with 'some' defenses.

Actually, we've buffed Kill Warrant scanners, in the near future.

The thing is, in a game as large and complex as ED, there will always be some new "exploit" or get rich quick scheme. And there will always be players who actively go looking for them so they can make their video and share it or whatever and get lots of hits and attention.

On one hand people are complaining that mission rewards are generally pants, but then they also complain when "exploits" arise because FD tweak the system in an attempt to better balance rewards. I mean, when you consider how many systems, economic states, distances, mission types, and other variables are involved, creating a perfect system is always going to be a very difficult task.

So lets say theres a delivery driver who turns up fer work one day and is offered a new way of working...instead of just grabbing as many dockets in roughly the same area and being finished fer mid afternoon, he now has to take dockets one at a time here there and everywhere...probably wont get home till late evening getting the same amount he usually does done.

Same thing here...I sure as hell cant be bothered going back and forth, going to different stations to find decent missions...its a waste of time and a considerable waste and its not fun. Might be fer others who refuse to flip the boards, but personally I cant be bothered with that...so I ffip the boards probably on average 3 or 4 times a day.

Ye wanna stop me flipping or appeal to my better judgement, then give me the missions I want, not what ye think I should have...otherwise Ill just keep flipping the boards. Is it a problem? Not fer me its not...so why should I care if its an issue fer you? You claim its boring...how do ye know what I think of it? Can ye read minds? Thats a very useful talent, yer wasted in games ye know ^

Game is long and was planned to be long since beginning. It is space commander life simulator in essence. Said that, current progression path is very, very fast. You don't need end game ships to feel rewarded. That's perception you have created for yourself.

Nope! You do not get to decide when or if you are grinding. Other people will inform you when you are grinding. It doesn't matter if you are enjoying yourself, if other people tell you it is a mindless uninteresting time gate grind, then that's what it is.
