I won't, but I hear the goat put in a formal complaint.
Yeah, it's still bleatin' on about it now.

But no one really 'blames' people exploiting this. I am sad but I don't say - hey, take their credits away. That ship has sailed. FD has been treading this very carefully and they didn't remove credits this time too. And there's zero envy about this from me.
What I said that in my opinion exploits are boring, it won't solve issues player has with the game, it won't game it fun. Players think it will, I think it won't. After destroying Anaconda five times they will have issues with rebuys again. I have seen this already. It just goes in circles.
Also it is quite visible with reaction after FD applying hot fix/removal. Lashing out to people who reported about it, and so on and so forth.
I don't care about 'exploits'. I care what they do to game and community. It isn't healthy. Rushing to endgame content has never been. Find a way to have fun with game as it is. Not as cheat codes offer you.
No kidding!

I'm out. I can't think of anything on the hoof.
This thread has become hilarious.. Not sure we can get back on track but one thing that really stands out in this g ame where everyone is billionaires...
How come prices never rise? inflation anyone?
Because there is no economy in the game. It's all magic numbers floating around in a range.
When I say I don't want these sort of 'exploits' in the game then it has absolutely nothing to do that I envy the money these people earn that I don't have, that's stupid flat earth thinking: why would I? I could do the same if I wanted so why do people assume others being that stupid?
The problem is that players like me like to earn their money in the game. With earn I mean in a halfway believable and consistent way. It's part of my immersion, simple like that. If such exploits exist I not only would have to avoid the forums, I'd also have the foul taste that I have to artificially shoot into my own feet to avoid these shortcuts to easy and cheap credits. It's virtually undermining my perception of making money in a game without looking at myself being the dimwit. So before you say I'm the one dictating how you should play the game and defining what's fun, think twice whether it's probably not exactly the other way around...
But again: it has absolutely nothing to do with competitive thinking. That's usually the mindset of those who want it all and quick as possible - but has nothing to do with me. In the end of the day it all boils down to PvP and those who consider PvP being the only fun stuff in ED. And for that they stop at nothing. They are the ones ignoring all other aspects that are fun for others, just not for them.
And not the other way around.
I think people will always justify usage of exploits because why not, I am just here for Cutter and why you say how I should blaze my own trail.
And that's fine. But eventually we all know exploits are boring. Yes, they might give you something to do in a game you don't click with or don't understand but you still want to fly some of ships for some reason. But overall they won't solve your issues with game.
I just wonder - why do it? Why keep piling at it? There's so much fun in the world to do anything else if you don't enjoy small things in game.
All this does is create some alternate universe for people who don't really don't want to be here.
True that credit inflation already has been a problem and it may be too late to try to fix it. ED is also an ambitious world building game with mmo as part of its core foundation. Perhaps someday ED will achieve the capability for greater player agency and persistent assets such as one's own station, their own factory or base and the runwaway inflation has already upset the balance for future worldbuilding. Currently billions can be put into play for powerplay contests, but after a while the usual fast tracking cmdrs eventually move on and can't do it week after week indefinitely. ( kind of like fundraising for an election campaign that eventually loses and loses big financially )
I don't know if FD has prioritized quelling exploits which is understandably difficult due to the immense scope , but perhaps they need a quicker system to nerf these exploits as they appear , perhaps some automated economic alert system when too many credits are made on an hour in tandem with the rest of the proceudural systems populating the mission boards and rewards on tens of thousands of stations. Just look at most any other mmo game that lasts, and usually the currency is under control to a major extent.
I don't give a damn you don't give a damn about my idea of immersion.People always forget, I don't give a damn about your idea of immersion, and am not accountable to it.
Sucks for players who don't use exploits or are new to the game doesn't it?That's why I'd actually be in favour of a proper inflation mechanic, wherein all in-game prices, current goods and payouts steadily increase by a tiny amount every server tick. It would be a slow process, but due to compound inflation it would add up over the course of years to devalue the exploited billions that players have in reserve.

Your turn.
How about they reset everyones credits to zero who took part in this? That would send a message, that cheating is not acceptable.

Good, we're both in agreement that neither of us has any right to demand that anyone else restrict their playstyle, or have their playstyle restricted to suit someone else's personal sense of immersion. I think?
