Horizons ExploraConda

...and yeah I have a low emissions power plant at level 1, although the above comment regarding heat is from before I put that on it, I haven't actually been back out in it since I dropped that mod on it.

And better bring some spare iron for a few extra L1 rolls because you'll likely get a roll, that provides better heat management plus some extra power on top... :D
Gave me at least a good MW more power on the 6A PP in my Python... [up]

TL: DR (at bottom)

Haven't been grinding for creds, just playing the game since release at my own pace, a few times a month, started in a sidey, traded rares for a bit, upgraded to a Cobra, more rares, a bit of bounty hunting, kept going, - the whole time I was just itching to get out into the black and do some long distance exploring.
Eventually made it up to an asp kitted out with for long distance, about to set sail, but then Other Worlds happened and I saw how many peeps were in ExploraCondas and I thought 'now if this was real, and I was gonna travel 20000 LY I would wanna do it in a massive palatial ship with more room than I'd ever need back on earth.'

So I kept going, doing some empire missions to raise my rank and check out their ships (look nice but not for exploring) eventually I didn't realise how much money I had! (300 Mil in cash and assets. Sold my combat FDL and bought a Conda.

And OMG what an amazing ship.

I've used engineers to get it up to 50 LY and for the first time did a bit of mining and surface prospecting and wow.

Landed on a planet, next to a sheer cliff and jumped my SRV off it and landed safely and traveled round and dismissed my ship and have it land near me and just generally keep a sense of awe going constantly.

I'm so happy to be out exploring in this amazing ship. I highly highly recommend it. It's so robust and feels just great for long distances. For anyone out there like me who wants to get into the deep galaxy try to hold out for an ExploraConda. It's worth it.

Recently discovered two earth likes and a waterworld. So rushed back to the bubble and sold the data at Khun so I could make my mark and rep with engineer for final FSD upgrade. Then gonna head back out a long trip to Jacques.

One last thing. I was so grateful to FD for this wow factor they've provided for me that I went and bought a paintjob for my ExploraConda. It was the squadron collection - only thing is was slightly disappointed that it's all scuffed up. Was expecting brand new shiny looking skin. Is there a paintjob that anyone recommends to make the ship look showroom condition? Thanks guys. See you out there.

Hold out for ExploraConda. It's worth it.

Awesome! I just got my Anaconda yesterday with a friend, it took us a trip to Sagittarius and back with a lot of detours exploring to raise the majority of the money, but we did hauling to get the rest. I agree, it really is an amazing ship in how it flies and how it looks. We're now grinding to get the materials required for the grade 5 FSD range upgrade.

Regarding the jump range, what was your normal jump range prior to getting an engineer upgrade? My Anaconda has a 33ly jump range, and I'm assuming that the FSD upgrade won't boost it up to 50ly...will it!? I just need to know in case we need to reduce the none-essentials from our ship to increase the jump range.

As for a skin, I have not bought one for the Anaconda but I have for the Python. The tactical skin pack is very nice, I can imagine tactical white or tactical black looking very nice on the Anaconda.

Engineers make their work good.

And small hint: do not take A grade of afmu. B is little slower, but have a bigger amount ;)

Wow you read the whole OP! Thanks and Props! Congrats on your new Conda I remember the mighty proud feeling when I first took mine for its first spin. I am AFK at the moment (posting on phone) so I will post exact load out of mine when I'm back. Yes it's stripped out and was around late 30s before the upgrades. Engineers took it to what it is now. With the recent improvements to engineers it's not so much of a grind. Worth it. Thanks for the tips on the PJ. All best
