Exploration data value decay?

Anyone who can explain this, please?

A few days back I mapped several bodies in HIP 70253 and up until yesterday the total sell value was 9,023,072 cr. Today I logging at same station with same faction state as yesterday (Boom) and the sell value has dropped to 3,470,413 cr. :(

What's going on here? Any clue anyone?

I have noticed this for a while now (pre Ody). The scan seems to give the wrong value for some systems (I suspect it's giving the discovery bonuses) immediately after the scan. After a relog it reduces. So...sell asap!

So this is an oddity with bubble data. It's definitely a bug, and not some weird depreciation in data value (and has been reported before). You'll notice that the data differs by a factor of 2.6 - which is what the First Discoverer bonus should be. Now, bubble systems shouldn't get a first discoverer - but they also have no first discoverer and it seems some of the time the servers will return the value of affected systems with that 2.6 multiplier and other times they won't. Strictly speaking the lower value is the accurate one, but if you keep trying to sell in different places you might find you can get the higher value back. Whether the data actually sells for that amount remains to be seen - it's possible the bug is just a display issue, and you might still get the lower amount. If you didn't already, give it a try and see a) if you can get the higher value back (try different stations and/or relogging) and b) if you do get the higher value, try and sell just that system and see if you get the higher amount or not.
