The USA?(were would we be in the world if we arm ourselves to the bone with only because of angst)
2) If as you claim this doesn't apply to peaceful explorers...then why are peaceful explorers raiding the thread in an anti-open attack? Sounds very much like I am being stopped from playing the game I want.
Yet again a good thread going to waste over people that get triggered seeing the word "open"...or "combat".
When you start a thread with - this won't be popular, no excuse, finish with - zero sympathy - what do you expect?
The USA?
Have you read the title of this thread? Tried reading the OP from the viewpoint of a peaceful explorer at Jaques?
Perhaps some people get "triggered" by other people telling them not to tell them what to do?

Whilst your advice might be useful for some, it's utterly pointless for an Explorer like me. I set out to make a long slow journey to Beagle Point that day after Horizons dropped. I.e. I hung around just long enough to equip my AspE for planetary landings and an otherwise fairly typical explorer load-out for the time. I'm still probably a few weeks away from BP (I'm not taking a particularly direct route, and I'm not playing every day). Once I've done with BP and surrounding area I'll head back via Jaques. When I hit Jaques it'll likely be the first life of any kind I've met in many months (although I hope to bump into a friendly or two at BP). I've been watching the forums, reading all the furor about Engineers, and NPCs etc., knowing there is nothing I can do about it.
So what am I supposed to do? Head back to the Bubble every time a major update gets released so I can re-equip my ship appropriately? As a slow explorer I'd never get anywhere. I'm really not looking forward to being back in populated space after such a long time, it's going to be quite stressful.
-snip- this is one space game that should have kept it real, and kept it true to its roots....offline.
imagine the content we would have had in this empty elite universe if we didn't have to cater for online pew pew maniacs...
we would have one awesome single player game right about now. -snip-
You think that's stressful? Consider this:
By the time you "hit Jaques", Jaques will probably be at Beagle Point.![]()
Do you reckon those of us drinking Jaques bar dry will get a piggy back ride to Beagle Point?

Perhaps I should pop you over a screenshot of where my ship is parked atm. I'll give you a hint...starts with Jaques, ends with...
If you're too sensitive to get over a few firm words and actually look at the content...not anyone else's issue, bud.
The actual content is the good bit. Especially around the heavy duty armour being free hp etc. But people love the opinion missiles too much.
I have a great excuse. A. Great. Excuse. I can't be arrrrrrsed to bother with Engineers any more than I already have done.
But as a result you won't see me in Open. I know how to dodge NPCs, not sure about wings of overpowered PCs. Not that curious to find out.
Watch me![]()
Not sure what the point of that was meant to be, but...I am at Jaques currently...?
Zero scored for sarcastic remark. Next up in the Frontier Forums Sarcasm Competition is number eight in the purple top. Go!
That was to Slugsie. Multi-quote 'd my next post, now corrected.
