explorers be on your look out for structures

I imagine that Frontier was surprised how fast Jaques station was found. Or did they gave the commander a hint?

Not exactly a hint. What they did was, they made the system show up in the galaxy map as "independent" which means that in map mode, it was colored yellow if you had that filter active.

But no explorer would ever have that filter turned on, because outside of the bubble, there aren't any fed/alliance/empire/independent systems. Explorers filter by stellar class. So no explorer would have found Jaques - most likely.

The guy who found it was actually still inside the bubble. He posted on Reddit that he was just zooming in on nebula looking for stars with odd names, and he was surprised to find a yellow (independent) system.

And I agree with you that Frontier was probably really surprised that someone found it.

The clues were in the game to find the nebula, an in fact if follow the clue there only a few nebulae around that would match that description, star type would have eliminated a few of them, giving a target of two or three, still a lot of traveling but that's the beauty of this game.

I'm sure there may be a few other mysteries around hidden amongst galnet articles in the game, people just got to read them.

Glorified. Oh my, I do declare.

Thanks! I always thought I was just a tourist.

Considering a whole bunch of Hutton Truckers got a whole load of Hutton Mugs, and dumped them in Sag A for a laugh. Most of whom have never done exploring before and most had ships not exactly been designed for the job...

So yeah, exploring is nothing more than glorified tourism, because if sweat cracked haulers can do it, anyone can.

Anyway, I will so no more as I do not want to derail the thread.

But I am glad they are adding new stuff to planets and moons, as they certainly need it. And I like the sound of structures.
