after installing and trying out one of the external apps for Elite, i wondered if it is really necesary to type in my VERY PRIVATE login data, to give an APP access to my ingame data?
in which century was something so unsafe common?
aren't there standards for secure app connection already there, like "OAut" or connection keys/tokens that don't require me to give a third party full access to my account?
please tell me that it really was just that one helper APP that did that,
and that FDev has more serious work invested into their API.
(coincidentally my Browser had a malware infection, for the first time after that experiment)
