FD Roll Back to 3.0.2

It's more work to roll back and patch all over again than to just keep patching what's broken. It's not a simple click on the "undo" button.

I have no doubt that with FD thats true. Many organizations would have a working isolated prevous version server just in case, but i have no doubt that idea has escaped them.

This. Frontier are, finally, attacking stuff that should probably have been addressed about two years ago; there will be blood. There will be bustage. It will get way worse before it gets better. And Frontier is going to need some support to make the hard decisions they have put off for a bit too long, now. When it's, arguably, much harder to make these rather dramatic changes.

I'd rather see Frontier have longer beta, and ensure minor updates (such as 3.0.2 > 3.0.3) limited to patch/ fix and not 'major function change', and maybe throw some more bodies in the QA team to be able to get a bit more in-house testing done, but I'm not the boss and that's totally their call and I absolutely respect that.

But I think folks, honestly, should probably just strap themselves in for the rough ride coming, or just decrease their hours and invest them elsewhere whilst Frontier collides head-on with C&P and struggles with it for a bit; they are going to break a heck of a lot of the core functions, and some may even end up being ripped out and redone.

Change is hard at the best of times; but IMHO not to sugar-coat, what Frontier have ahead of them, is going to be unkind to some degree, to almost everyone in the short term; player and developer alike.
