It won't die, but for a game that boasts being able the play the game your own way, why are you attempting to curb my ability to play the game with an existing mechanism that FDev created??
If you put energy into creating a player faction, get the people, choose your space, and then wait 6 months ... your CMDRs will move on to other things. FDev is playing against its own player base by allowing interest to decline in such groups.
But there is NO mechanism. It is a privilege to get player named minor faction in game. It is not a right or a feature. It doesn't change how factions are perceived by BGS.
Are you saying the BGS is not a mechanism? What is your logical reasoning for being so against getting player factions in the game that have no impact on you personally? People spend a lot of time and derive much enjoyment out of working their player factions. I agree that FDev should give better guidelines and rules about it so we could understand where we stand in the process and why. But you need to quite passing judgement and start passing some logical arguments for your perspective, and quite trying to knock the legs out from underneath mine. Why no, Eagledude?
