Fdev please make NPC Piracy a thing again

I used to do a lot of NPC piracy back in the day. Back then we only had to destroy the NPCs Power Plant and loot away. This was until a change was made that meant NPCs weren’t disabled by reducing their PP to 0%. This was no biggie, we soon found a method of destroying the Power Plant and then Thrusters to achieve the same result. So Fdev responded in kind by not only giving NPCs the ability to use the reboot/repair, but to do it instantly and without cooldown, and on top of this Grom Bombs don’t even work on NPCs. At this point I quit piracy as most of my targets were simply either getting away because they could instantly repair their FSD and bail, or getting destroyed from me constantly having to take out their FSD to stop them from running.

I have recently been working on a cutter build to get back into piracy when I found out today that apparently NPCs no longer carry LTDs??? So I ask you Fdev, how else are you going to stiff the pirate player next? I really can’t see what else you can do to ruin the fun for pirates, you have completely killed this area of game play. Please do something to make piracy fun and worthwhile again.

Guess you have to enter the miner's union now.
Crime does not pay.

(Yes it's a shame piracy doesn't work as well as it should).

If anything, piracy is way too easy. I'm rather inexperienced but I've found myself a nice anarchy system for pirating and I'm making some 35 million from a full cargo hold of my Python (110t+ cargo space).
What somewhat disappoints me is that there is legitimately no reason whatsoever to do it in low-sec or - god forbid - mid/high-sec. One would think that anarchy pirating would be little more than an introduction/tutorial, with corresponding payoffs, and then higher security would have more lucrative targets but it doesn't seem to be so. Just half an hour ago I caught a T-9 with more LTDs than I had space for - and I've seen some loads that could almost fill a Conda. Besides making anarchy/low-sec less lucrative, an alternative solution to this problem would be to make it so that the good hauls would have good escorts with them in anarchy/low-sec - it would make perfect sense for a T-9 with 300+ LTDs to be accompanied by an Elite FDL at least, if not something better.
While I'm complaining - the only thing worth pirating at the time is LTDs and it's way too easy to find them. If I see a ship with a mining laser, I can't even be bothered to manifest scan it before I attack - because there's a 100% chance that it's carrying enough LTDs to be worth my time.

As you can imagine, it's pretty surprising to come to the forums to complain about this and then find that someone has made a thread complaining that piracy isn't worthwhile enough. I've checked the date about a dozen times by now to be absolutely sure this isn't an year-old post.

Here's a guide that got me into piracy. So far it's worked perfectly and I've never made money so fast before.

The author of said guide is just one post above you, in case you didn't notice.

Also, there have been some time recently when finding LTD was not straightforward, as it recently changed from where you previously found them. That you find loads may be luck, and I wouldn't dismiss complaints out of hand.

Also, mining can get significantly more than 35M from 110T of LTD, at less efforts.

Yeah nah, did not notice it was the same guy.
The guide has been unedited for two months. The information has been out there for at least that long. If OP had done his due diligence before posting, he'd have found the information from somewhere.
Those loads being just luck is something you can say to my shiny new Conda that I didn't expect to get for another few months until I started pirating.

And yeah, I can get a lot more for the same amount of LTDs - if I spend my time shuffling through a pile of rocks.

I meant luck that you found a good system. You don't find them in every anarchy system. Once you find a good system, it's not luck when you go to that system.
