They have no place being there and are too bright.
Look out of your window on a dark evening and have somebody shine a flashlight in your face.. can you see?

Hopefully, EDHM can fix it again and allow them to be adjustable, but in the meantime, I thought I would post a whine thread :D
It is the day of patching in more bugs after all :)

I seem to remember watching a documentary about the movie Alien (?) and how they put lights on the inside of the helmets so the camera could pick up the actors' faces better...but then the actors couldn't see what they were doing and kept tripping and running into things.
 
There's a solution, one i have gained with many many years experience in real life.
Change the name of the ship to LAND ROVER and ship number to TD5, guarentee your internal lights will stop working - problem solved.

I use my Krait nearly all the time in Odyssey, doing footy missions & other smallish bubble stuff.

Until I read your post I hadn't noticed that there are lights in that position in the cockpit, let alone that they're switched on & bright :cool:
 
I despise those lights too. Makes me hate flying my Kraits. Contributed to Issue thing.
Dropping Bloom down to Medium helps a bit, but they are still there.
 
It would be nice if someday, there would be extra controls for the lighting like a plane addon systems in flight simulator. You could have on/off switches for the strobe beacon, the anticollison lights, or extra wing or placed support and inspection lights. And often there are also internal cabin light switches where these facing krait lights could be considered interior lighting. Currently, the ED single lights switch seem to be just the main "headlights".

The new strobing lights on the Krait MK II and the other ships since Odyssey's launch have been very nice, imo, as self illumination or traffic beacon effect in the dark night of space. (I recall Elite 2 & 3 also had strobing lights on the ships. ) Just would be nicer to have more switches to selectively control them.

Been asking for a toggle or a dimmer for years. Too difficult apparently.
EDHM had a brightness toggle (and colour change) for the cockpit lighting, but it broke with this update (hopefully temporarily).
Has been pretty handy but still would prefer the lights to just be removed and put back to how they where in horizons.
 
A BIG YES PLEASE on removing these lights (or make a toggle for them).

I might be late to this thread but now that I am doing the exo scanning this issue has become more serious.

I found numerous planets where the light from the main star doesn't reach all the way and looking for bacteria on such planets is a pain in the eyes.
Especially with the silly bright lights shining directly towards you.

It might not be that apparent from the image but in game those lights are incredibly annoying and irritating.

Can we please have them removed/toggled?
